Yep. Here's a gif. It'll blink like this every 15 or so seconds when you receive a notification.

This going to be on the 6?
That's a Motorola thing I think. Moto X feature.
The 6 is a moto device technically.![]()

No Nexus 6 hands-on vids yet?
Another Vietnamese hands on with the Nexus 9. No subs with this one though.

I'm kind of not getting the whole 'not affordable' part. The nexus line only became affordable with the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. Nexus releases before these were priced like a normal smartphone and were available on contract. Google has gone back to that again with the N6 now available on contract and the non-contract price being quite high. Sure it would have been great to have the best specs at the lowest price but expecting them to do this forever was wishful thinking.
The N6 is a flagship phone with a flagship price. Going by the specs, it competes directly with the Note 4 and this could be a very good choice for many people looking to buy a phablet on a contract.
Maybe something similar. We don't know for sure yet. I just posted this because people were spreading misinformation about Active Notifications.
Don't need to depend on them. There's app that does this. Look up DynamicNotifications.
Preordered!
When will this up for preorder tomorrow? Midnight EST?
Any info or prices on the official case or cover yet?
16 gb or 32gb for the nexus 9?
I've looked around a bit but haven't seen much. Gizmodo initially mentioned a price of $230 for the keyboard case but later amended it to $130 which is much more believable (but still too high). I'd be on-board if they priced it at $70 or below but I'm certainly not holding my breath.
I went 16gb as most of the media I consume is cloud-based. Will probably pick one of these up for flights/travel when I want to bring along a bunch of TV/movies:
SanDisk Ultra 64GB Micro USB Drive
My head can't wrap around paying $80 for 16GB of flash memory.
I don't think it has a microSD port.

I would advise getting a OTG cable and a normal thumb drive. You don't want something stiff like that sticking out of your tablet when you're watching a movie or something over it. Too easy to break. When I got my Nexus 7 I got the 64gb sandisk thumbstick and a 90 degree angle OTG cable. Works great for me, cable runs right along the edge of the tablet, doesn't stick out and it's long enough that the thumbstick doesn't get in the way. No worries about accidentally snapping it while it's plugged in or awkwardly protruding out. Probably can stick with the same thumbstick though since both cost the same and having the option of the micro-usb adapter might come in handy. As well you'll need to get a program like Nexus Media Importer, which costs 4 bucks, in order to get your tablet to actually read the thumbstick. Otherwise it's useless. If you plan to root your N9 though you can just go with a free app like Stickmount which will mount it for you, but no fancy UI.

You are going to have to accept a future of 5 inch phones. Even Apple is moving toward the trend.
However, I will probably never get a 6 inch phone. 5 is plenty for me.
Thank you sir. Your advice makes a great deal of sense - I didn't even think of the protruding issue.
Is a setup like the one describe fast enough for streaming media directly off of the stick? Not a terribly big deal to move stuff around before playing if necessary, but streaming directly would certainly add to the convenience.
I've never had issue with 1080p videos streaming from the stick directly. I would also get MX Player, though I haven't checked out the VLC app in a while, last I tried it was a bit iffy.
