Hmm that's interesting still works for me.
Are you not in the US perhaps?

Yeah UK and hola never seems to work for nick for some reason
No worries I found another place to watch

I find it interesting that theyre focusing on the king so much

All aboard the Freedom Train!

It's nice to see that Kuvira still has some points. As people said, she was not just grasping power, she actually did something for the world and the kingdom. Without her things could be in a really bad state. It makes me think even more that she isn't the real final boss.

Episode was hilarious, mostly, but not limited to Toph. So good. She needs a radio and continues to snark on Korra. Some faces were really great too.

I want a flashback montage of important events with other angles that shows molecrows watching them.
She'll train Korra to become the next tree internet user!

Kuvira's decision of
making the Earth kingdom an empire is not what I expected. She said she's all about reform and progress, but no, let's maintain the dictatorship but make it sound 100x more sinister, leaning too close to the mustache twirling villain archetype. What she said to Bolin sounds like manipulative talk to keep her most powerful officer in line, doesn't sound like misunderstood at all.

I don't think Toph
plans on training Korra directly at all. She plans on throwing things at her until she figures it out for herself, considering that's how she trained Aang. When Korra finally gets it, Toph'll show up and say "finally! now I can show you the cool stuff."

Well, she can't reform with Wu at the top. And she is scared the United Nations would take everything she worked for and exploit the earth people. Wu is a figurehead that would be controlled by the council, everyone knows it, even he does. And now way would he ever speak up and defend his people when the United Nations put them at a disadvantage (as he is now). Thus she has to make sure to get respect, so the United Nations don't even try reinstall Wu.

Old Toph is friggin perfect. Hasn't changed a bit. And it's cool to finally see who I'm assuming was
Zuko's daughter.

I need more though we only saw her for less than a minute and we still don't even know her name. Later episodes better rectify that hopefully.

Well, that's her way of training :)

I thought she was going to form a democratic state, given her distaste of impotent kings/queens. She was already the temporal president that has real power, she can keep being one.

Never was any talk about democracy. I see more of a military junta, where people earn the right to rule, opposed to be elected by the common folk or inheritance.

Yeah would have been nice to see her go down that path but I suppose the show need a villain. Still wish they could have done it in a better way.
Tad over the top when Kuvira did the whole "I always get what I want" as ominous drums play in the background.

Maybe not, but I really didn't expect her to go Palpatine.

That and the "villain tells wacky scientist to focus on secret project" at the end, all she lacked was a real mustache.
During the speech I thought "oh cool there is a pretty good reason for her actions" then it ended and it turns out Kuvira is evil just to be evil.
Falling faster than Amon
, Satch am cry.

We kind of have an idea of Kuvira's plan when it was mentioned that hey control the metals in the area. I bet she's also looking to control a power source using spirit magic.

I don't think the spirits are gonna be too happy about that. With the presence of spirits in almost every episode so far and how Toph just mentioned that she can see everything, I bet that the balance referred to in this season is actually a war between spirits and humans. That would be awesome.

Curious what will they do with the spirit vine. Maybe a way to give bending to the people of the Earth Empire?
Since Kuvira talks about equality, she's gonna make everyone a bender in her empire so that everybody will be equal.
Maybe a power plant lol/

Explains why everyone likes her so much.

I wanna see Toph in her prime!
I think the episode kinda tells how strong Toph by saying Su hasn't really grasped metalbending.

Also that face

Haha this got me good. Was also surprised to see
Desna/Eska but that's probably the last time.

Also,
I love how we see Zuko's daughter BUT NO SCENES WITH THEM TALKING.

Kuvira always gets what she wants.

Good episode. Had a blast with Toph, it's great to see her again and it's equally great to see someone treat Korra the way she does. Tenzin was almost there, but Toph really puts her in her place. This episode sets up a lot for some big changes, hopefully a Zaofu vs Kuvira battle in the next ep. Funny episode all around, need the next one NOW.

Let me just improve this really quickly.

Episode was great. It made me kinda like Prince Wu, Mako was being cool, and Toph was exactly what I expected. :D

During the speech I thought "oh cool there is a pretty good reason for her actions" then it ended and it turns out Kuvira is evil just to be evil.

I'm not seeing evil really. Just because she is a dictator doesn't make her evil. It dosn't make her a good guy, but I think she is in a dark grey area.

This thread is so odd; No spoiler tags for the previews but tons of spoilers after the episode actually airs. It's supposed to be the other way around.

I liked Korra Alone and all and it was a good episode, but I don't think I enjoyed it as most people did. Does this one at least really get the plot moving?
