Yep. Had a great campaign. I honestly wouldn't miss any of the non-campaign modes though.

Only the multiplayer. The campaign was an amazing time, unless you just don't like to fight the Locust or something.

No they didn't, MP is still buttery smooth and the difference with Horde, Campaign co-op and Beast which is P2P is really huge.

There lies the problem in my opinion the best time for them to release it would be March - July 2015, which is highly unlikely or March to July 2016 because Halo 5 is Fall 2015 and Gear 4 will most likely be Fall 2016.

I would be all for them taking 1-3 and really pushing what they're able to do with the games. I don't know if they would be able to port them all to UE 4, but I'm sure they could make those games look astounding by using a lot of the late UE 3 stuff.

Yeah, I think that's probably because there isn't all that much to gain as the original games (outside of Gears 1) didn't really have performance issues. 60fps would be great, but its not as much as a fix as these other remasters (GTAV/TLOU), or in-place overhaul like The Master Chief Collection and its anniversary treatments.

MS will definitely want to upgrade the package - universal dedicated servers, updated horde modes, something.

The timing on this is hilarious to me... I haven't really played any Gears since 2011, I played a couple hours of Judgement and never went back for more, feh. But just yesterday I noticed my red Gears 360 controller, then I looked over at a stack of games and saw all three in the trilogy down towards the bottom. I was kinda gonna play 'em this weekend.

If this were true it, and it came bundled with a limited edition gears of war xbone I think that would sway me. Definately with a price drop too for sure. Gears of war 1 was one of my favourite games of last gen.
