Mandarin/Bane whatever. No one will remember the real villain after how Kuvira was portrayed. They're gonna pull a Mandarin or something and make Opal the real mastermind behind it all.
Kuvira is just a decoy. A puppet.

Just wait until his girlfriend turns out to be evil.
do you guys think about the possibility of Kuvira trying for a lil extra-marital nookie from Bolin?
lots of...material given this episode
Boring episode. At least Kuvira finally announced she was seizing control. I was a bit surprised the world leaders didn't intervene more, but I guess the reaction to her speech made them hesitant to intervene explicitly. An empire reminds me of TLA, with the Fire Nation's attempt of world domination. We go from extinguishing bending powers to world destruction to anarchy to conquering.
Is it assured Kuvira will try to reclaim Republic City as apart of the Earth Empire? Will her nationalism extend to the Queen's belief last season?
Wish Kuvira was single so that could have actually been a possible plot point. Normally I'm anti romance. But I like the idea of Bolin being torn and really believing in her. Could have made that conflict even bigger once his brother and friends oppose her.
LOLits not bataar jr. its just bataar now, mom
Opal can be evil without being on Kuviras side. She could be a third party. Remember that there is still a Red Lotus hiding.Lol if Opal is evil she would have been in bed with Kuvira from the very beginning. Unless there is a super twist and Kuvira is actually good and Korra and everyone else is bad. But c'mon now. Ya'll know Kuvira will be the bad guy. So it doesn't make sense at this point for Opal to be evil. That ship sailed within the first episode IMO. Sorry Chariot.
It's funny how a camera pan on her eyes (which was meant to be alluring) was interpreted as evil and made a lot of people believe she was bad lol

Pretty good episode. I do have some concerns about Kuvira but let's see how it plays out. The evvvvillll angle just seems too strong.

Lol I guess? I hope this doesn't get convoluted. Maybe Kuvira will be attacked by the Red Lotus and her belief she could keep things together under her rule falls apart. This shows season arcs usually change or take off in the back half. So I'm assuming we might not know the actual main threat is. It's easy to assume it's Kuvira. But that could change.
Still, I seriously can't see them making Opal bad at this point. I wonder how the Red Lotus even comes into play this season. If at all.

I would protest that.Is anyone getting The Dark Knight Rises themes from this season? I mean Korra is out of the picture while a dictator like figure comes in and starts taking over.

If Asami builds her a Avatarwing. There is like zero need to spoiler tag this.
Yeah, there are some similarities, and I wonder if it will end the same way.
I will facepalm if the Red Lotus is not mentioned this season.
I would protest that. But I gonna cry if Varrick is building a spirit bomb and is then openly killed by Kuvira as the only one who can disarm it.

Legend of Korra Book 4, Episode 3:
Ah yes, so the obvious turn of events transpired exactly as we expected it to, I am surprised that Kurvira has chosen to create an empire as imperial rule isn't that much different from royal rule.
We got like 3 minutes Korra time, and Assami wasn't even in the episode. What the hell? I hope all that Kuvira stuff is over.
Where is my damn glove? We got like 3 minutes Korra time, and Assami wasn't even in the episode. What the hell? I hope all that Kuvira stuff is over.

Im curious if Kuvira is the end point for the series. Given what they tackled in S2 & S3 it'd seem almost strange for Kuvira to be the final villian for likely the entire series. Granted this is supposed to be a more internal battle with Korra and they've already set up some interesting similarities and contrasts between Korra and Kuvira so maybe they will find a way to conclude Korra's arc in a satisfactory way. Apart of me hopes that they can tie in all the different seasons themes without it being too convoluted.Lol I guess? I hope this doesn't get convoluted. There is not enough Kuvira time in this world.
I bet Varrik is going to have a change of heart towards the end of the season and sides with the Avatar

WHAT DID YOU SAY?
Kuvira stuff is the best stuff. Toph is, like, a distant second.
Where is my damn glove?
Oh, no, you didn't!Fuck Varrick I hope he dies.
Never.
Fuck Varrick I hope he dies.

That new game (which is currently pre-loading on my One) is coming out, though.I don't know, I just don't care about her that much. Maybe it's because i liked Zaheer too much
They're just trying to start so many storylines, I'm worried we don't get enough Korra for the rest of the season and then it'll be over.
Oh, no, you didn't!
Bro! Varrick's the best.
You better watch out Zhu Li is coming for you.

Get out and take your book 2 finale gif with you
Varrick was the best thing to come out of Season 2.
Did we all forget Book 2? He tried to kill people during that final Nutuk mover.
But he is a funny murderer. I love funny murderers.Did we all forget Book 2? He tried to kill people during that final Nutuk mover.
