Marvel Comics teaser tour of past events and major storylines continued Friday morning at Comic Vine, with Iron Man's Armor Wars the latest classic story arc the publisher promises to revisit in Summer 2015 in some manner or another.

It joins the Civil War, Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies, X-Men: Years of Future Past and Planet Hulk teasers from earlier this week and at this stage is almost certainly related to the all-encompassing Secret Wars event Marvel announced last Thursday.

We have a feeling Armor Wars won't be the last teaser either.

Oh and Planet Hulk

They've been announcing a lot of things. And its all basically meaningless until they tell us why.

It does seem like an incursion the media. Maybe the Marvel Cabal needs to come off some information, instead dishing ti off one molecule to each man at a time.

Man, I can't wait to see this all play out. Next year is gonna be so good- great time to be a Marvel fan. Galactus-Buster Armor is rad.

That Armor Wars art is hideous. Like, Scholastic would be embarrassed to put that on some novelization to peddle to elementary school kids at a book fair.

I'm guessing this all ties in Secret Wars, which involves, as other people have said, incursions. Basically, it'll be a bunch of What If? worlds fighting it out.

Suspect. Valiant just wrapped up their Armor Hunters event.

The original Armor Wars arc in Iron Man wasn't that great either. Except for the Titantium Man and Crimson Dynamo vs Iron Man fight, that was cool.

So what are they doing exactly? What's the biggest theory?

My guess is some sort of time/space hijinx that results in changes being made to events that have already happened. These are probably one-shots we're going to see that tie in to Secret Wars or something.

So far we've had (and I don't know if all of these are tied together):

-Civil War 2015
-Years of Future Past (this might be an actual event involving the All-New X-Men)
-Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies
-Planet Hulk 2015
-Armor Wars 2015

So IS Secret Wars really happening, or is it just another one on the list (that just happened to be the first one they announced)?

Yeah, the recent announcements seem like multiverse gone crazy and now, everyone is fighting everyone. Reboot alarms are going off.

can you read the whole WWH story(digitally) (including all the side stories/events that lead up to this point and effects) with a unlimited marvel subscription ?

cant find comics where i live and i dont want to go hunting for links to "acquire" all this material, also i wanna support the people that worked on this. the last scan i read was
when iron man kills captain america
but wouldnt mind reading all over again

Sounds like this is all going to be expensive to follow. Mega crossover events and tie-ins are so bloated.

And Marvel isn't giving any of them time to breathe. Probably the worst thing they're doing as a publisher right now, too many fucking line-wide events. Thankfully they are not all shit like we were seeing a while ago.

I'm assuming it might have something to do with the rights mess... Remake all your big stories but only with characters you have the cinematic rights to. Just a theory and I could be easy off base, but that's the vibe I'm getting. Setting up material for future movies etc.

They're all slated for this coming summer. I really don't think these are separate. Things like Spider-verse, Axis, and Hickman's books are all going to lead into this, with Hickman's being the most important.

It has nothing to do with movies and everything to do with Jonathan Hickman's current run on Avengers/New Avengers.

Well I don't have a problem with these teases because they are all apparently a part of the same big event.

But I'm saying, Inhumanity came and went, Original Sin just ended recently and we're almost halfway through Axis, and Spider-Verse is starting up. This was a really busy year.

Next year I'd like to see less "Original Sin" and more "Infinity," I definitely prefer the events that are a basically just an extension to the writer's current book that don't bog down the entire lineup. Secret Wars seems like it will be a bit of both, considering Marvel said it's going to tie-in with EVERY book. That must be a nightmare for comic shops, especially when we have stuff like AXIS coming out so frequently at $5 a pop just for the main event book.

Seeing as how years of future past is an "event",im gonna say no.
