We need to stop hoping for a new crash game. Activision owns it and the price Sony would have to pay is not going to be worth it.

Would love to see Sony team up drinkbox or klei again for an exclusive. Hell, I'm surprised don't had not tapped platinum for their own exclusive, MS and Nintendo already did.

Since Activison and Sony are buddy buddy again i will never drop hope but it seems unlikely a new crash will happen.

I think we will get more indie partnership announcements soon. Devolver is always up to something and Futurlab are hyping up their new game!
 
Stop hoping for a new Crash, guys. It's not going to happen.

The Last Guardian coming out this December exclusively for Vita is more likely to happen than Sony getting the Crash IP from Activision.

Cerny said the main reason he made Knack was because he was making the rounds during PS4 development, and one of the devs he was consulting with casually asked what Mark was working on for the new system. Cerny basically said, "Umm, good question," and realized that by making a game himself, he would gain still better insight into what devs were actually going through themselves leading up to the launch. So that's what he did.
 
I doubt Sony would buy Capcom, but it's not improbable or unfeasible. Sony distributes the Resident Evil movies, which are a huge source of revenue for both companies. Sony would have more of a stake on Capcom's ownership than many others.

Yeah they are making so much money off the license. At this point it is more like they are holding it hostage

Activision, like all publishers, have hundreds of IP in the vaults that could, in theory, be making considerable money for them right now.

Acti is as worse of an offender than EA and MS. It's not about holding it hostage, it's about market realities and Crash wouldn't sell to more than a small hardcore base. It's not worth the investment nor would Acti be willing to sell the IP without charging a price that most would feel is unfair due to how long the IP has been dead.

Just create something similar and change the character get away with it like mighty number 9 did.
Put "from the creator of Crash" in the ad, profit.
 
Don't know why the current discussion is occuring. It's never going to happen and it doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, Ono is definitely working on a PS4 game.

Curious to see if this is going to be a Capcom or Sony IP. Or some cross over project? He's never been involved with a non-Capcom IP before since he became a producer.
 
It would be cool if Sony paid Capcom to make them a fighter similar to what Nintendo are doing with Namco.

PS All stars was not my cup of tea but I would prefer a more traditional fighter.
 
Man I would love a Sony vs Capcom style fighter.

Also stop with the "Sony is going to buy Capcom", at least try and keep things in the believable range.
