Maybe a first look at a Morpheus game from a big-name developer?

If they want that thing to be successful from the start, it needs a big, impressive game to launch with it.
I seem to remember someone hinting that a 20th Anniversary celebration would be an appropriate place to really kick off VR, but I don't recall who said it or when.

It looks like XDev and Ovosonico may be working together again?

That's really great. Murasaki Baby was brilliant and weird and quirky and inventive. I'd definitely like more games like this from Ovosonico, and Sony has proven themselves to be open to funding such games.

According to Cory Barlog they won't anything to show until after that, so I think we'll see it revealed winter 2015/early 2016.

He is just taking a page out of David Jaffe´s book. Where he says that he´s not going to show anything at E3 only to be the closing presentation.

They need a good launch line-up along with good post-launch support. For instance, Move had some really decent software at launch but that dried up to almost nothing post-launch. Morpheus needs at least one key title when it launches and it needs consistent support after that.

Well, I'll just leave this here...

I've met Ovosonico team some weeks ago..they are working on something for sure...

Oh cool, a secret PS4 project? Awesome!

Indie or AAA ? .. hmmm

It won't be 'AAA'. Looking at their website they appear to have 13 employees. It'll probably be another project the size of Murasaki Baby, or maybe a little bigger like Journey or The Unfinished Swan.

That's why I think VR versions of LittleBigPlanet and Home are key. Bonus points if they merge together in to a single entity. Stuff like that will help ensure there's always something to do while you're waiting for the next "real" game to come out.

I'd rather they let the blandness that is Home wither and die, but if they want to integrate them together then I'm all for that. I think LBP has absolutely buckets of charm and would make a good Miiverse-style social network hub for Sony's platforms.

Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. Move wands in VR is going to make content creation astonishingly easy. See, MM's demo at the PS4 reveal. Not only can people use that to build their own VR games, they can use it to build their own Home-style apartments. And I'm sure people will do just that.

So yeah, make that the basis for the new Home. Create some common areas as part of the basic package, and let us create our own environments and make them part of the multiverse. Not only can I inhabit the environments I create and share them with my friends, I can visit the creations of other users, and even professionals. Make LittleBigPlanet a place you can really live, I guess. Ideally, it would also support game launching, so "visiting" No Man's Sky would be no different from visiting my friend's kingdom or the EA pavilion. Kind of a "home base" for all of your VR experiences.

They are expanding, but my guess is that they are working on another artistic-focused game. They didn't tell us a thing :D

Sequel to Murasaki Baby, called Murasakid.

._.

Interestingly, on their own website they say "Established in 2012 and considered one of the most promising studios within the Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Europe family". Strange how they refer to themselves in this way, when they're not part of Sony.

If they loved me, they'd bring back socom. But they don't love me :(. But seriously they've gotta have an online shooter of some sort eventually right ?

I think Sony have taken their focus off online shooters a bit, with Resistance and MAG failing last gen and some major shooters like Destiny and COD doing the business on PS4 this gen. While MS prospered a lot over the last couple of gens with the help of their shooters, Sony's strength has always in part come from their diversity of software.

While I'm not gonna get myself hyped, I think there's a chance we'll see some real crazy stuff here since it's a 20 years of playstation celebration. PS1 IPs returning, perhaps? There will be something announced specifically to celebrate the big 2-0 for the brand. Unrealistically specific possibilities:

Parappa by an indie dev
MediEvil/Twisted Metal/old Sony RPG by a mid tier dev with ExDev/SSM/Japan Studio support
Jumping Flash! as a flaghsip Morpheus title, or at least a tech demo
Bang Wombat returns

Some of those IP revivals would be awesome, and quite appropriate for their 20th anniversary event.

Twisted metal had its chance on ps3. Connection issues at release and a genre not many want to play anymore put this ip to sleep for a very long time. MediEvil would be interesting.

Might not be anything worth talking about at all, but Japan's 20th Anniversary site is live, with more information dropping soon :

http://www.jp.playstation.com/20th/

Also, for this year's PS Awards ( December 3rd, awarding the best selling games on PS platforms in Japan ), there's a special plan/project in the works.

First time I hear about that game. Just watched a video on the game's website and it looks awesome. Not too fond of the art style, but the gameplay looks quite unique.

Will check it out.

Speaking of their 20th, I really wish these videos were translated.

One looks like an interview with some SCE head honchos and the other being Kazunori Yamauchi.

I honestly struggle to believe Twisted Metal will ever truly die. It's Sony's oldest active franchise and I feel like Jaffe will always want to go back to it.

hopefully they announce a new OS development team that works on Earth time.
No thanks, basic OS is fine. I hope more new game studio. Maybe Sony should buy a lot of them to become first party. I want big 1st party titles every week because I'm more of PC user and console need some of that space.

If the event's not being streamed, then I seriously doubt there will be any major announcement. Maybe something on the timid scale, but certainly nothing too big. They'd save the big guns for a streamed event, such as E3 or something before that perhaps.

Boggles my mind how you can make something of GOW3's caliber and then proceed to blow through $100 million and come up with nothing to show for it.

Possibly because he was comfortable building over a very well established franchise. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case when he had to create something new... Apparently, anyway.

everyone's favourite stig (i dunno why) is why we won't be seeing any santa monica game any time soon. i
More interested in seeing what his project was going to be then another GoW tbh. We already know GoW and Kratos is coming. There is nothing really big (imo) bout that unless they actually change the mythology
