Demo was actually pretty disappointing. I'm really annoyed that Game Freak apparently didn't bother to update the engine at all - same 2D overworld, same godawful framerate in battles. Was it really too much effort to do some engine optimization? I mean, they saved time by being able to port over the 3D Pokemon models instead of respriting them like they used to.

Well. I keep trying to catch the black shadowy pokemon in the grass. I defeat most of the trainers and I'm leveling up my Steelix. (It shows him after each adventure, so I assume I can transfer him over.) but I have no more Pokéballs, and all of the doors in the city remain locked up.

It probably doesn't help that the entire game is in Japanese, which I can't read. Lol. I'll keep grinding it out and see if anything changes. Fun demo.

One thing about it though, that I've noticed on the New 3DS, is it doesn't seem to be optimized fer the new hardware like, at all. No faster loading times than my XL, low frame rate, and oddly enough the head tracking 3D doesn't work on the demo. (Very weird considering t works on literally every other game.) Hopefully that's all fixed upon release.

Guess you can get extra stuff up to a point. Just finished round 3 and says I'll be able to send a set of Poke Balls to the Pokemon Link. Not all that exciting though.

Edit: So the set is 10 Poke Balls.

Edit 2: At 5 times, you get a set of Heal Balls to send to the Pokemon Link.
