Feeling the same way. First time through was fun, but replaying it has been boring. Only other exciting thing that has happened is I found an Absol in the grass and I was able to sneak up on it.

Excited for the real game, though. Only a month to go now...
 
Music quality seems like a step backwards from X/Y. I know it's a remake and everything, but the quality of the instruments sound like they could be much better, especially with all the guitar stuff we got in X/Y. Some of the music in the demo almost sounds fan-made, particularly the Team Magma/Aqua battle theme....so disappointing.

Agreed. I'm a bit disappointed they didn't keep some of the depth the previous theme and all had. I listened to some of it before US demo came out, but when I opened it up and didn't hear all the extra stuff in it that I can hear when I boot up my Ruby on my DS Lite, it feels a bit sad. It lost something.
 
Finally got home. Is the demo short enough not to spoil my appetite for the full game?

I'm on the third badge in my Emerald game atm. First time playing that too.

You'll be fine. :) Actually, gives me a bit of hope for R/S, since that generation was my least fav. Can't wait for it to come out!

The man looking for the shroomish is in town is here and I found a shroomish in town. I can't seem to do anything though. I guess it's nothing.
 
Demo with zero sense of exploration, nothing, nada. But it's better than nothing.

I'm really disappointed with the technical part of the game. For me the resolution is worse than the X / Y, everything is blurry and the colors are washed out.

And why the hell they changed the font in the bottom screen when you are battling? It's horrible, can't see shit!

Eh? Resolution is identical and the colours are far more vibrant than X & Y to match Hoenn's scheme.

Text is also based on the RS text.
 
I have to say, maybe it was just one generation too early to take Pokemon into the realms of 3D. You just feel like the hardware is struggling to cope - frame-rate dips, poor resolution, environments being designed with as few polys as possible to the point it's really noticeable and harms the game's aesthetic.

Please explain what you mean by "poor resolution"? It runs in the full 3DS resolution, and runs well. I honestly don't get this complaint.

It has slowdown in battle because the models are way too advanced for the 3DS. Each Pokémon model is ridiculously detailed, and that's a good thing. 3DS is just a bit weak, which we all knew.

Also, as for environments, don't forget this is a remake of a GBA game and is following those location setups.

I'm guessing it is a bug with that feature when it comes to games that can turn 3D off (like Pokemon does all the time), the 3D will come back on but the feature won't.

is about Team Aqua / Team Magma though. Not sure if the nugget man appears in it but yeah.

And I've seen that tip yeah. It's pretty cute.
 
Ten play throughs later and Im done with this demo. No one seems to know how to get that secret place option so theres no need for me to keep playing anymore. Demo was a good tease but after the 2nd or 3rd play through it got stale fast.

Bring on the games baby. I'm ready for both versions

I got one from jimbo above so I won't need it. Did people really sell the smash codes? I had platinum and I gave out all my smash codes since I didn't play smash. lol. How much were they going for?

No offense intended, but the only reason I didn't just send it to you is because you've only made three posts on GAF. I'm glad you were able to get one, though. The Smash codes were being widely sold. I sold 3-4 for $5 eShop codes each.

Oh, no worries! Yeah.. I registered on GAF quite awhile ago but i never came back because I think it takes awhile for accounts to get activated. But now I'm back. haha. Hopefully to stay. I usually shy away from Forums these days because threads always end up in flame wars and people start dissing each other. Not my cup of tea. Interesting. I gave mine away on reddit because I saw how people were going crazy and I figured I didn't need them, they were only games.

Oddly enough there is a discrepancy. It says I got it at 22 hours ago. But my email (gmail) placed it between 4pm and 9pm yesterday. Either way I'm happy.

Thanks for being so understanding. Well, you should definitely post more here. I think you'll find GAF is much more free of flame wars than you find on most forums. It really is a great board. I'm doing a giveaway for a 3DS game right now, BTW; you're welcome to enter.

It is frustrating to hear that, because I was interested in a New 3DS XL.

I will stay tuned when the games comes out, hope its all fixed.

I think the same thing happened to me. I think when they send it is what was recorded. I got it last night, but it said 22 hours ago.

Then why don't you just finish XY? At the very least, the Battle Maison post game stuff is significantly harder than the main game and you're almost finished with that apparently.
 
Still haven't gotten my code e-mailed yet. This had to be one of the worst ways possible for them to put a demo out. What would have been so hard about just putting it on eshop? =\
