My prediction for next week: We know
Ra's is showing up at some point next week
. I wouldn't be surprised if Oliver
can't bring himself to kill Malcolm, so Ra's shows up and
does it. Or alternatively, Malcolm kills Nyssa and Ra's shows up to kill everything that breathes.

Best part of this episode: Amell's face in fight scenes as most of it done without a stunt double. Not often we get to see a modern day Oliver fight without the hood on.

Why are they just taking Batman villains?

Merlyn is involved with the League is in the comics, and Ra's is not exclusive to Batman so he's a pretty natural fit.

I think he's doing more of his own fights this season.

Because Green Arrow's rogue gallery is one of the worst in comics. Seriously awful.

What? You don't like "Lt. Hilt"?

(yes, that is an evil dude with a knife stuck in his head called "Hilt")

I don't know how it happened, but this show drove off a cliff. This season so far is unbelievably bad. The acting is also garbage so far. Hopefully the introduction of Ra's brings some life back to the show

Yeah as I understand Manu would've liked to do more of his own stunts last season but Canada's filming laws & insurance make it pretty tough. I love when they can show close-ups on the face because there's no stunt man to hide. Colton on the other hand...

Didn't care for likely love interest Ted Grant. Damn CW. Also since when do boxers spar without headgear? Things are building up though and oh shit Nyssa is back so I'm sure stuff is about to get ramped up. Weird we didn't get an archery scene with Thea since that was Merlyn's thing and Thea is already established as being at the very least a good archer already so it'd be better to work on other things, guess maybe that's why but I think it'd be interesting if she was a "natural" at it and potentially better than Oliver which would tie into a season two Roy training scene.

Laurel getting he ass handed to her... Eh, much bigger than her and her "self defense" training is kind of a joke anyway, kind of like a lot of those classes in real life.

As for the preview
that wasn't Thea hanging upside down.

No Merlyn swag or Slade swag

No real direction either since no one has anything to do, they fucked up Wildcat more than they fucked up Komodo so I don't even care about Laurel becoming the new Canary. Ollie is being a dick to everyone, he won't even let Black Driver be Black Driver.. Roy is Roy.

Episode was okay, next one looks crazy.

I loved the Felicity/Palmer scene with the calls. That was great. Don't know how I feel about sinister Ray Palmer. That was weird.

Laurel really is the biggest dumbass of the show.

Not really no. She was written pretty poorly last season but Thea and Roy have been written terribly in the past too. This season she's pretty solid.

As a DA she's clearly already had the desire to help victims and Sara's death making her angry enough inside to try to take things into her own hands works. It's a pretty classic everyman-superhero motivation too.

The only stupid part is that the writers have seemingly redacted the fact that she knew how to fight well enough in S1 to drop grown men and take on a guy with a shotgun.

It definitely was her.

She's been training for like 6 months. Nyssa has probably been training her entire life. Not too surprising if Thea gets schooled.

There's a difference between getting her ass kicked in a fight and getting tied up and needing to be saved by the male character (whether it be Oliver or Malcolm this time) for the five millionth time on the show.

But like MikeBreezy said, she might save herself which would be cool.

Black Driver drove this entire plot besides Thea....what do you mean?

Interview with Geoff Johns

Nothing Arrow specific, but it confirms that DC looks at the TV and movies as a multiverse.

Always figured that was going to be how they looked at it. It's how they view the comics and animation as well and it's one of the things that separates DC and Marvel. Marvel has it as well but it has always been a much bigger focus with DC over the decades. I wonder if this is the first time they've officially said this.

I think it's the first time anyone has officially used the word "mutliverse" to describe it, at least.

Roy has been better because there is no drama surrounding him. The entire arc of tonight's episode was driven by Diggle. So those two things are false. Season has been fine so far. It's hard to claim "No real direction" after the third episode. There are still 19 to come. The direction will form in time.

I liked this episode nice change of location with more sunshine and private punching. Poor Luarel she went on full Batman Begins with her ski mask. The jacket gives her magic powers!

I think John "The Flash" Diggle got hit by lighting too. Thea, Thea, bilingual Thea. I hate to admit it but I am a fan of her short hair. I think it adds to the slur.

That boxing guy...GOOD LORD! He will be shipped...shipped hard.

I know it'll pick up, but this opener has been kind of meh.

my comment about him not being black driver is when he told diggle to go home and be a family man.

Every one else is still pretty much the same exact character they were in season 1. Show needs more Thea (only person who has had any decent character development), Malcom and Palmer
