Xbox One Available for $349 in the U.S. This Holiday Season

Great price now

I was holding off but buckled last week when Tesco in the UK had a price glitch so I got it for £305 with alien isolation and the evil within.

It applies to any bundle, so it is 350 for a console and free game. 2 free games for the AC bundle. 450 for Cod bundle with 1 TB.

Still, 300 would have been killer.

400$ + a free game applied to any bundle too. This is effectively equivalent to that (unless you didn't like the games included in those bundles).

Shame we probably won't be getting numbers for those months when it will actually be interesting. I think they could push a win for November depending on Halo MCC as if it's a TF like affect with most already having the system I don't think they will win.

The Season of Xbox will begin on November 2
So you're late to your own party :p

He acknowledges that his team is building its momentum against a Sony that currently is rolling forward. "They beat us in June. They beat us in May," Spencer says. "These months are small if you look at the sales. I think the whole month of June is about one week in November. They're winning, and they'll do their PR around it, and that makes sense. The battle is really September, October, November, and December."

WiiU, Smash + Kart + Toad for $299 please, Nintendo!

Called this. There was no way they were going to risk going into the holidays without a "price drop". It's probably permanent come the new year.

I wonder if it will be even cheaper for Black Friday? Not gonna lie, this is pretty tempting. I say that as someone who swore up and down they wouldn't get an X1 this gen because of how bad Microsoft tried to screw the consumer.

Below are my thoughts on this matter.

1- I am happy that MS is being very aggressive. this will insure good flow of games. since most likely it will have a bigger user base.
2- I believe this is the price of the Xbox one Kinectless should have been from the start. since the system is a little bit less powerful than the PS4 " honestly I cant tell the difference but eh" so 50$ cheaper is fitting.
3- I bought my xbox one for 450$ with Kinect and TitanFall. Assuming Xbox one is 350$, TitanFall 50$/60$. that means my Kinect is about 40/50$. not bad.

However, I really feel bad for the people who paid 500$ on an Xbox one forced with Kinect and no games less that 1 year ago. that is just cruel and MS should reward these people with at least one game gift. even if its last year game.

They can easily tell from the Xbox IME number when it was activiated on Xbox live. any console before 2014 --> access to 1 free game.

EDIT: wait 350$ + one free game ? fuck me.. that's like Xbox one for 300$..

Pre-orders literally hours from shipping out and this deal starts in November so, yeah, I'd have to think so.

This... might be why Amazon "ran out" of availability on the SO bundle last week. They could have been in no mood for angry customers or thousands of returns for an idem people would just re-buy a few days later. Stock could well magically reappear next week.
Edit: Yeah, we should have seen this coming with the bundle oddity last week.
This is a really good point, can totally see why amazon dond this now. Ms might not be too hapy with them though more money out their pocket

Nice, my son refuses to step into the light, so I am getting him one. Think I will spend the $50 on a new PS4 game. MUHAHAHAHAH ;p

It's in the OP. The title may say $349 but the promotion is $50 off any console/bundle.

True, I'm a bit lost with CoD bundle, probably with Kinect then... This is a nice promo, too bad it's just US though, could've moved a few units elsewhere in Europe. Although from business perspective it probably sells so little on the continent apart from UK they'd rather make money on every console sold here. Too bad :(

Shhhh, fanboys do not use logic. They choose not to read a press release all the way.

Thank you for calling me a fanboy, you random stranger from the internet whom I never met or talked with my entire life, but who seems to know everything about me.

Just to expand on my thoughts, this + Halo + aggressive ad campaign will help them win Nov + Dec. If not it's pretty much lights out for the Xbox One. They're banking that having a virtually infinite pool of money to subsidize any losses this deal will bleed out Sony.

Typical MS playbook, if you can't beat 'em heads up burn a giant pile of cash on their front lawn.

Amazon is notoriously picky about choosing its customer service battles and shipping matters where possible. Microsoft might be pissed but Amazon would rather cover its own ass.
This would also explain why the COD bundle got a random $50 off last week. With that, people who had already pre-ordered won't feel (as?) ripped off with the holiday deal. That kind of hardcore demographic is one you'd really rather not piss off.

Damn. Impressive move. Will be interested to see what if anything Sony does in response.

Should have been the price all along really, considering the less powerful hardware.

I love it when corporations have to win back their consumers. This will only do positive things for Microsoft and the industry at large.

I don't think those were really thoughts that needed to be expanded upon - there's already plenty of passive/aggressive comments in here from people who don't seem comfortable criticizing MS in every thread no matter the topic.

Thanks for the laugh

sunset overdrive is a game i would probably really enjoy. it's kind of the only game out for the system i want though, and it would definitely mean making a ps4 seriously seriously redundant going forward. but considering the price is right (effectively $300 since so is a game i would buy anyway), i'm thinking i should give it a shot. not like with a ps3 and xb1 i'd miss out on ys, persona 5, mgs5, final fantasy xv, and kh3.

YS is PS4/V

It means Wii U bundles are only $50 cheaper than Xbox One bundles.
Oh, I just googled the Wii U bundles are $299.

From a consumer value perspective it will be interesting. The perceived value of a bundle is dependent upon perceived calculable savings (but weirdly perceived savings decreases as bundles get larger).

The console hasn't been out for a year yet and already MS is desperate to drop $150 on the initial price (doesn't matter if anyone says that it had kinect, that thing is crap).
Sounding more and more like the original Xbox launch, and that's not a good thing

Not bad. I think there's room for more added value. Maybe three months of gold to really sweeten the deal.

They need to be careful though, any more price cuts (temporary or otherwise) and their console value will bottom out with consumers.
