When did being open invitational become a requirement when Madcatz Unveiled was a qualifier last year?

I think it's more questionable that tournaments at Comic Con are part of this point system, and the players who are sent to trade shows all the time are...Evil Geniuses.
 
I understand raging at games but don't understand throwing/breaking stuff. Even outside of games when people get angry and break their iPhones or whatever. That stuff costs money, dude. Bit overboard imo!

Everyone I know IRL who has those tendencies also seems to have had or has a nice amount of expendable income. Not that I necessarily think they looked at it that way, but I figured to them breaking something that's $60 or whatever is "worth" relieving them of their temporary tension.

I grew up pretty poor so I'd have a temper tantrum if you were eating near my controllers in worries that you'd fuck up some contacts and then I'd never get another controller again.
 
The most I've done re: game rage is toss my controller over my shoulder in a "fuck this" fashion. Then it hit the floor and rolled into a glass pane, so I had to make sure nothing was broken lol

Clockwork is right, shit is expensive. I can't fathom actually wanting to break something.

Aren't these games made by Dimps? Maybe I should stop hoping for SF with an MK9 style story mode because we might end up with a DBZ style story mode (I don't know if that's good or bad tho =P).
