I don't understand why people are so fixated on Black Panther. What does he really offer other than diversity for the sake of diversity?

If you read comics you would know why your wrong but by reading your statement I know you don't read comics.

Also I've said for a while letting miles be spider man in the MCU is arguably the best great compromise around. Sony keeps Peter and can continue to try to get that right and MCU has a young hero to put in their own films separate from the Sony continuity. It wouldn't be the first time they used a ultimate version of a character to great success.

I have a hard time believing keeping Peter and Miles both on the big screen is mutually beneficial. More confusion, more arguments, threats of competition and loss of IP value. Nah. Either Marvel is buying back ALL of the rights or none. They're not suckering themselves into another position where the IP value is at risk and they lose in the long term.

If we look at it coldly and logically, T'Challa has interesting lore tie-ins with Marvel universe. It all could make decent material for MCU movie.

Why would Sony be ok letting Disney use Miles but not Peter? Spider-Man is still Spider-Man, regardless of who's behind the mask. I'd be cool with it if Disney got the rights back and decided to go with Miles instead of Peter, but I just don't understand why people think Sony is more likely to go for that.

I love Raimi's Spider-Man movies and Tobey as Spidey, but the guy's almost 40 and there's no way those movies can possibly fit into the current MCU canon. It just won't happen.

I know but I mean in the MCU. We've only gotten two films from the reboot that aren't very good and I would like to see Peter get some better writing before being replace by Miles.

Are you talking about Miles? Because I don't know about that. I do think their would be complaints but overall if that's the only deal Sony is giving, I think Marvel will take it in a heartbeat. People might not be happy at first but there's no way they won't love Miles.

My thing is, I don't see how giving Miles instead of Peter would be smart when it doesn't really boost the Spiderman movies if it's not Peter.
