Cool ep. Ollie and Thea still lying to each other is getting old already for me. Nyssa is a giant hypocrite for being angry at Ollie for not killing Merlyn while completely ignoring that her father is just as likely to have killed Sara. Laurel is logically inconsistent. Roy is the best running gag in the show.

Since we will probably never get a direct reference to Batman/Bruce Wayne, it will be cool if when Ra's fights Oliver for the first time, he says something along the lines of "such a disappointment compared to the detective".

There's no way Roy's flip wasn't done on purpose. They fucking read GAF, those stunt guys.
Great episode. I didn't realize Merlyn's League codename is "The Magician", but lol, it works. Barrowman was so great in this episode. He devours the scenery in his role. He just looks like he's having a fucking ball throughout the entire shindig.
And man, Ra's kinda came off like a douchebag at the ending there.
Katrina Law is so badass and hot. Ollie's impractical vow was hilarious cause I was like "fucking kill him already" even though I really love Barrowman. Everyone was pretty much like "Yeah, we're pretty chill if Merlyn gets offed." And now Ollie has angered the League.
I'm already tired of the lies and half-truths between Ollie and Thea. I really hope Thea finds out the truth in like, the next two episodes. I wanna see what happens. No more pussy-footing around.
Seriously, that archer three way was amazing.
Also, Laurel is still lying to her dad. The fuck. You realize at some point you'll have to tell him, right? Also, Nyssa's gift to Sara was a hilariously short American jacket? And Laurel's not worthy of wearing it? C'mon.
Alright, we're scratching Merlyn and Thea off the suspect pool. It was almost assuredly Ra's, right? Unless it was Amanda Waller! And speaking of Waller, man, she's still a complete tool in the flashbacks. She was willing to blow up a jet airliner to kill China White? Fuck, Ollie had the chance to take her out like six times in the first season.

this show's secrets can get tiresome. it's dumb as hell that thea still doesn't know about oliver being the arrow.
even his ma had the sense to figure that one out. and thea's been with malcolm the whole time, why would he not bring that up. i think she'll find out by mid season finale. can't juggle malcolm and ollie without there being some drama involved.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt cause more often than not, Arrow (and now Flash) has absolutely nailed the main villain casting.
Also, Count Vertigo (both) and Deadshot were definitely well-cast. Brother Blood too. Isabel Rochev... eh. The casting was good, character sucked. Robert Knepper playing Clock King was awesome.
I don't think there's been any miscasts in the villains, but there have been some lame characters.

Michael Rowe sucked in season one. I'm glad they gave the actor time to develop the character into something a lot better by season two. But Ra's? He needs to be the biggest bad basically from the beginning.
After seeing the trailer for this episode last week, I was pretty damn hyped. The episode was good but a bit underwhelming for me. I expected something a little more. That being said, John Barrowman continues being awesome. Way to early for me to give an opinion on Arrow's version of Ra's Ja Ghul just yet. Early on I would never have expected Manu Bennett'e Deathstroke to turn out so well done so I'm at least expecting to eventually like Ra's Ja Ghul as well even if not as much as Deathstroke and Malcom Merlyn (glad he's a regular this season).
Arrow season 3 is so far fairly strong but definitely could be better. Season 2 set the bar pretty high. Season 3 started out pretty strong but has kind of mellowed down just a tad. Still with plenty of time for the show to set the "AWESOME" to max and I suspect that it will.

We've only seen Ra's for four seconds, so it's hard to judge based on that.
Yeah, Deadshot wasn't the best in Season 1, but I did like him. His swag level magnified in Season 2 though. I love Deadshot now.
Episode didn't hold my attention. Only John Barrowman chewing the scenery really entertained me. The rest was typical "let's keep secrets from each other to prolong the plot!" and Laurel being written terribly. It's not like the show to drag out character moments but it's really about time that Oliver learns about Thea's training and especially, Detective Lance learning about what happened to Sara.

This was the first episode of the season that legitimately drew my interest. Malcolm was hilarious, and every storyline was more focused and engaging. I hope they can keep it up (next week looks like a one-off, but that's fine when Arrow does it right).
And, man, that Roy flip was a true thing of beauty. Tears were shed. Joymaking was abundant throughout the household. Lives were changed.
