Put customization like that in any game and the first thing people will do is recreate characters from other games, movies e.t.c.
Is that Decal stuff for the WiiU version?
imo customization is not about trying to keep in tune with a characters personality but instead embedding your own.
EDIT: And it also has to do with the fact that VF provides so many more options for the Torso and Lower body for people to make a design that's not so obtuse. TTT2 just gave you a paltry amount of Upper and Lower body attires but then flooded the system with these ridiculous accessories that turns everything into an ugly clusterF.
Life gets in the way. Those guys have insane schedules- FGC/MTG have more weekend warrior friendly ones.
It's like I've been saying forever, just give people a toggle option to disable accessories and costumes. If people want to make their character a walking shit show that's their choice but I shouldn't have to suffer through it online. As long as they can still see it on their end then I don't see why it matters.
WTF I didn't know TTT2s system was this powerful.Gong back to Bumblebee's post, I'm not against customs and when done right they're pretty cool. It's the accessory overload that kills it. And even if you look at all the great customs in TTT2:
Those are all really well done because of the Decal customize system. And NONE of them have those stupid auras and glowing outlines on them that plagued the Mastercup stream. What I want eliminated are those ones that don't contribute to anything. Just look at the massive list of Aura's and accessories that legitimately serve no purpose and will never contribute to cool designs like seen above. Again keep the decal system because those are legitimately well done:
But alas, that one good thing might end up getting removed for the idiots that like to abuse it:

Sure there are stupid ones... but they're not as retarded as unbelievably retarded Tag2's. At least from what I've seen.
EDIT: Thinking about it more, the decal system really was only ever used to make Tekken characters cosplay as others, there really aren't very many good original designs out there... and that's one thing that Tekken is really starving for ever since it stopped innovating its character designs after T5.
Closest we'll ever get to a new none mobile DC game.dat Regina
Customizations are the only worthwhile thing about fighting games with sidestepping.
Don't take away all they have!
The beautiful women faces.Yeah that would be like taking away the (I don't know) that makes people buy NRS games

you're not wrong!(Neverrmind the MW anime player got blown up at KiT last year).
Thanks people, didn't expect to get so many replies. I am excited to get some extra cash though, it nice.
P.S TN does have weakness, we actually put up the money to bring players in for our benefit as well. We have strength in Tekken and a bit in SF, but everything else needs work.
Large pot bonuses will not help improve overall attendance apart from only a handful of top players, maybe. It's a poor way to market an event to average fighting game players. So when Vandy posts in a community FGC Facebook group advertising KiT by mentioning "large pot bonuses and top players", I want to reply "well the latter will be taking all the former so why should I even attend?"
I hope the person putting up the money for pot bonuses REALLY loves fighting games and isn't expecting to get a return from venue fees.
Keits had it right in going after the 60/30/10 structure and trying to pay down as far as possible. MTG's open events regularly pay to Top 64+ and it fells nice to get something if you make it deep into the tournament, even if it's just a net ten bucks.

The people who put it up do believe in the games, and know the risks involved. Anyways, we believe in our tournament and we have players coming, so whatevs. I get that you're from the midwest so you have no hope of winning money, but I'm sure other players might give it a shot![]()
Of course an even better way to get players from a region to attend your event is to insult them. Especially when that region is in fairly close geographic proximity to yours.

The only player I really talk shit to is you, since you like to instigate on here. I had Shinsyn here last year and was great, and I have nothing personal against any MW players. I enjoy talking some smack about playing the game, and that's it. If you can't separate that and want to keep personally coming at me on here or not show up that's fine by me, I could really give less of a fuck.
As far as payout goes that's correct, but it's only the four out of quite a few. I wanted Xrd to payout deeper, but ah oh well.

I've never brought up regional stuff with you on here.
Tennessee just giving money away all the time now instead of just in January.
Bad betI learned never to bet on anime/little girl avatars again, so $10 on Wall-E
Bad bet
Also anne blow me up in UNIEL next week
I know that feeling, doing makoto drive combos online where everyone you play could have different timings JUST NOI'd really love to play some but netplay is bad for me ;_; Like I can't even do the IAD BnBs online.
Uh huh. Look, I know you don't like me because I ragged on Pops after the UFGT incident and Evo, but it's whatever. You know exactly what you're doing, so I'm just going to leave it here.
First to 10 paragraph essay
I'm sorry, but how was what you quoted in any way a reflection on Tennessee's players? KiT is giving out big pot bonuses as did the person who ran your event. Don't try to paint it as if I said something else.
Also what "UFGT incident"?
To everybody else, there's not going to be a first to 10 so calm your pants.
My issue with some of the customization options in TTT2 is that they are actually distracting in-game. VF lets you create some really ugly custom outfits, but they're all designed to not be distracting. Whereas some of the accessories in TTT2 actually make it way harder to read animations in-game. That's why you see the shields so goddamn much, because they can make reading throw breaks really hard if they're facing the camera. It think some of the issues with TTT2 customs come from how it's flexible in certain areas (color edit, decals) and so limiting in others (mainly due to the lack of options for adjusting outfit sets).
Hopefully T7 will have more flexibility being 1v1 and on more powerful hardware, but it looks like at least some of the dumb customizations are staying around. Or just release a PC version with Steam Workshop support and let the community go absolutely crazy with it. :V

Though somehow I can FRC in gg's wack code but think that's more from that shut being ingrained into my body at this point
I honestly used to beat survival mode once a day to kill time pre ac when it was hard as fuck. I used to also sit in training mode for 2 hours a day xDWhen we played that one time I was like:
... wut?
Also up for some UNIEL if anyone wants to play.
I got an itch I need to scratch now!next week!
