Oh so get air thrown?
Kappa

Can't air-throw while airdashing.

You're right though, I wasn't taking YRC slowdown into account. I deal with essentially the same mixup every week from a Dizzy player in +R, but, again, there's no time-slow in that. The correct answer to that is to read that it's not meaty and 1-frame jump out (and hit a button to tag her if she tries the non-cross-up).

EDIT: +R habits gonna get me bodied in Xrd. xD

My answer to that is to just play fucking Ky and VT that shit

LOL YOOOOOOOOOOO MILLIA

Chick looked like she was in Melee while Ramlethal is all "we're in a traditional fighting game, CHILL."

Mike Ross vs Floe Results

1. Floe (Honda). Mike used Makoto
2. Floe (Dee Jay). Mike used Makoto
3. Floe (Hugo). Mike used Makoto
4. Mike Ross (Sagat). Floe used Dan
5. Floe (Zangief). Mike used Sagat
6. Floe (Rolento). Mike used Makoto

I picked a bad time to move away from the stream. :lol

A special move's invul properties kicks in without consuming resources and then you can use the resources that weren't invested in activating it to cancel the activation? Yeah I'd love to hear the design reasons behind that.

Well it's not frame one invuln at least, but it seems like an oversight

I just mounted & installed a TV in my kitchen. I am thinking about putting the PS3 in my cabinet next to the Tupperware and play fighting games on the kitchen counter.

Dieminion's two best competitive fighting games of all time:

1. Marvel VS Capcom 2

2.
Super Smash Bros: Melee

I straight up only use the pop out window on twitch nowadays. Used to have fun reading chats but man I don't have it in me anymore.

David and James' top 10 lists were pretty good. Though I'm not sure if I would put Nemo up there. He did win WCW but that's like pepedai winning TGS on Fuerte. Sako as well is pretty questionable. Both Nemo and Sako did do well in Topanga B League, but that ultimately is just a preliminary before the real Topanga League. Also compare Sako's current tournament credentials to a more unknown player, Ex Pugera. Ex Pugera was only one placing under Sako at Evo and he also made it past the preliminary of Topanga League. Is he also worthy of being top 10?

I can't recall Ryan Hart's exact tournament placings in Ultra without looking them up. However, nothing in my memory would make me want to say he's a top 10 player. Second only to Luffy, but I think that's weak reasoning. NGL Chris gets second to Snake Eyez every week...but I don't see him making anyone's lists.

Dunno if anyone is interested or psoted it but new PV for Blade Arcus, that Fighter based on the more recent Shining series RPGs, the ones with Tony Taka as the artist.

It releases to arcades today in Japan apparently.

Probably kusoge but I bet it'll be fun for a weekend at least.

According to Jiyuna tweets, it's already showing signs. Unblockables and 80 percent off of jump ins so far.
Game also has some pretty good normals that feel like they maybe belong in UNIEL.

Tony Taka and Shining FG, and it ends up kusoge lol pretty easy call to make tbh

Who did james and David have as their top 10?

Their orders were different but it included luffy, bonchan, snake eyez, sako, infiltration, ryan hart, daigo, xian and gamerbee. I think the difference between their lists was that fuudo was 10th for James and 10th was Nemo for david.

If going back to #R as a starting point wasn't bad enough, YRC is busted and more centralizing use of meter than FRCs ever were, How have they not addressed this at all yet?

Put the guy who did GGXXAC in charge of the next iteration of Xrd because they're lost.

Whenever I read the word centralizing (or, worse yet, overcentralizing) I have nightmare flashbacks of Meta Knight ban discussions.

I know y'all won't care, but gonna be taking a leave of absence to focus on school starting tomorrow (as long as Shouta complies with my request)

I'll miss you guys ;~;

I've seen it done on other internet forums (with Enzo doing it recently), it's something I just don't understand, since you're cutting away only a sliver of the internet (and no one uses the internet for just one thing).

But hope it helps you get done what you need to get done.

This doesn't make sense, just because your spending less time on one thing doesn't mean you will go out of your way to fill up the time your cutting out. Especially if there aren't many other places you frequent.

There's a reason for the statement "nature abhors a vacuum."

It applies very much to people, in my observations. When a void is present in their lives, they fill that void. It's most apparent with people who start earning/come into more money. For those who live within their means at a certain income level, when that income level rises, they usually expand their expenses (whether concsiouly or subconsciously) to accomodate the positive income differential.

I want to say there was a study done on this, I'll have to dig around for it.

I gotta be honest, the only thing thats worse than that notation talk is the whole dlc topic.

And the move to community topic.

Back from college and procuring more sneakers, whats going in here?

Are you interested in notation for moves in fighting games?

CPT website just posted the entire schedule for Capcom Cup

i wonder what the special announcements will be...

Omega release date.

Most likely this.

Kindergarten story from Ono.

Although I'd say it's a 50/50 chance it's this as well.

I'm concerned about Ono telling the media to be there. If it really is an announcement for an Omega release date, which everything indicates it is, then they're just burning bridges with everyone by hyping up the announcement.

that 360p goodness

I can't help but think that Niconico is powered by a TI-84 calculator somewhere.

Not how ASW likes to do things. Despite YRC being baffling the game evolved enough to mostly hold up. There are some questionable thigns, and there's some hot fire but ya know, it's fine.

Yo, Marvel's back!

I just mounted & installed a TV in my kitchen. I am thinking about putting the PS3 in my cabinet next to the Tupperware and play fighting games on the kitchen counter.

Put the PS3 in a tupperware. Depending on your ventilation, as you cook, oil droplets, etc. are going to collect on things within range of your cooktop in your kitchen. You probably don't want your PS3 getting covered in that gunk.

Enzo, CanadaCup 2014 is this weekend.

There was like, no hype, no info leading into this it seems. I bring it up because I don't understand how you can expect a good turnout for your event if you're not marketing it effectively (or maybe I was under a rock).

I did something like this recently, and it's always difficult to rank players around the world, because there's very little shared context. So you do something akin to triangulation. Even for someone like me, who has access to a ton of data, you're still doing a lot of hypotetical work.

I'm slightly surprized that Pepeday isn't on there, considering how efficiently he tore through TGS. He has a *ton* of momentum right now.
