Outside of the Smash Bros + Gamecube Controller Adapter and Smash Bros + Mario Amiibo bundles it's been GAME and Nintendo UK only for their SEs.

You do realise that it is the retailers that ask for the 'editions' versions of games, they ask the dev/pub what digital content or merchandise can be put together, that was how it originally started, some publishers got in on the act though, but they can charge more money for a couple of extra trinkets they will do it, all GAME will do is offer to take a smaller cut on the percentage than say Amazon or ShopTo.

I for one have never had a issue or problem with game.

I doubt i will get the Zelda MM SE because the extras are not worth the extra money.

It's not so much what bits & bobs, it's more we [retailer] want a 'edition' what can you offer.

I was asking some devs/pubs at Gadget Show Live last year & i was asking about the pre-order DLC & all said the same thing that MS will only allow retailer specific pre-order DLC if it will be available to everyone in the future, Sony has just followed on from what i was told, i also asked about the different editions mostly about the ones that people in the USA & Japan get & that the UK/EU always seem to miss out & they mostly said the same thing that is is down to the region HQ's & they work with retailers on the 'editions' & it used to be the retailers that asked for the 'editions' so the pub's always think about a special or collectors edition now, the retailers are more for the pre-order DLC.

Also in the UK GAME is important to Sony, MS & Nintendo, when GAME went bust the big players offered the new owners good deals as they wanted a games presence on the high street & GAME was the launch partner of Nintendo, i went to a WiiU lock-in at my local GAME store a few months before the WiiU was launched & they has Nintendo PR people a couple of WiiU's & games for us to play (this is when i put a deposit on a WiiU) they also brought along sweets, can you imagine a local Tesco or Asda doing the same, i very much doubt it.

As this is going wildly off topic, i will just say that i have not had a issue with GAME & i will continue to support them, the £150 of free shares i got also helps.

Yeah it was a while back, I think it was limited to 5,000 people but you could get a £40 off a £200 Asda Direct spend coupon applied to your PayPal account, I'd been holding on to it in the hope that Asda brought about a sale or a coupon just like this. The £40 was running out (11th Nov)

Considering you have to post every bill to them and if you don't pay for at least recorded delivery they'll claim they didn't receive it, and therefore won't give you any cashback, seems hardly worth the time and effort.

Haha, I absolutely agree with you. I think Europe's FFX HD artbook was a downscaled version of what the US got. I hate the books that are only the size of a disc case instead of an actual large hardbook.

How do GAME trade in offers work? They have one at the moment for 20% trade in against Halo MCC. But can I trade in anything? Was wondering if I could trade in my PS4 for £200+20%=£240. Just as a backup in case I can't sell it. Or are you limited to the amount of the game?
