What will probably be important is either changing the leadership of EVO, or moving to a different event. You can't argue with success, but I don't think it will be able to go to the next level as things are and that is what "going esports" really means. It is a change in leadership.

There's been this nasty WWE-esque stink over the EVO staff when it's come to competition- whether it be tournaments, websites competing with SRK, etc- they don't welcome it and view it as threatening to them.

I'm guessing they have 360s at least but Mando said he has a few PCs. I'd guess they would revert back to 360 for USF4. People were asking about Yatagarasu and Mando says he has a few keys so they might still play that too.

Watts is on SuperDojo right now and said there's no beef between him and Valle. SuperDojo just wanted more control. It's gonna be more of a laid back and "raw" stream according to Watts. It was a mutual break.
 
hrmmm don't know about this Level Up and super Dojo break up. I think the level up series brought that professional look to the FGC. And as much as folks like the laid back low produced look, it's that professional look that can bring in the sponsors imo

Finally got back to the PC version for the first time in ages. Finally seeing Eliza in action. Her backdash animation is fantastic. So glad she won.

Levelup can always go to UGC and run WNF there. Another nail in Watson's coffin.
 
Guys relax. Nothing's changing here. There wasn't some kind of ugly divorce or rival Illuminati forces in some sort of secret war. Both parties mutually agreed to go in different directions.

Watson's going to run his arcade and the weeklies just fine, Level|Up have awesome gigs with Halo/DOTA/etc so they'll be just fine. This is all baseless drama and conjecture.

I prefer laid back and "raw" streams and I enjoyed the NSFW Fridays Watts streamed before so this sounds OK to me.

WNF was always a thing (at least in terms of national recognition) - it and Big Two/NLBC/Spooky's Wednesday Stream have been fixtures for ages. But Super Arcade wasn't part of that until they ended up settling down there, and (imo) that exposure's what led to the renovation and such being able to get the funds it did. I'm not worried about LevelUp, they clearly do good work and will be just fine.
