Ideally, it lead to a better product once released. I've also been porting FN to Mac OSX too, but haven't officially announced it until it's actually working.

I don't understand. Aren't EVO's game selection based on their scene's activity?

Just that EVO's game selection is moving away from my tastes more and more. Last year it was Smash and KOF13 (which might as well have been a side tournament for all the exposure EVO gave it >_<) and then pretty much VSav and ST tournaments.

This year the only main game I'm interested in as a game may end up being GGXrd. Ultra's fine for the competition, but without it...

Oh, I accidentally ended up watching Mahvel and enjoying the Top8 a lot for some reason.

Given the succes they're having going into non MOBA, non MMORPG games (Hearthstone, and now Overwatch), I'd welcome an FG from them. I have slight concerns about how they'd monetize it, and how it would fit into the current FGC tournament structure, but I'd like to see it.

Project M getting shunted to the side was always going to be an eventual consequence of Nintendo getting more active in the scene if they chose to start supporting these local events. And it's worth the tradeoff.

All things considered, just be grateful that Melee is OKed by Nintendo for Apex after what happened in 2013 at Evo.

I feel for them, but if they honestly don't see how Nintendo holds the power position here then they are beyond reason.

This all day long. I like the work the Project M team has done, but as kirblar stated, this is the risk they took if Nintendo ever got directly involved in the scene.

Coinciding with the new update introducing a 6th character Dice including a stage, taunts, 2 new tracks, the new mode Striker and some balance changes.

Some impressions on the new stuff:

Dice uses ping pong paddles, obviously has different angled shots and a parabolic shot as a special. His special movement is Super jump which gets activated by jumping while crouching.

The new stage has a low ceiling and is a little bit wider than the average.

The newly introduced Strikers mode has the goal of hitting your opponents target which is on the wall, akin to Air-Hockey. Both characters are invincible to attacks in this mode.

The simplest solution would be waiting for sales, if he really wants them. I've already seen some of those on sale. Playing them is another issue.

Need to fire that up again. Such a good game, and very happy to see that they expanded it.

Happens to me too sometimes and I start freaking out. Minus in general is pretty shitty now, sometimes they delete old files with no rhyme or reason, or change their extensions.

Any chance of you going to Imgur for the images? It kills me that I never see most of the graphics because iMinus is blocked where I am (Imgur is not).

I like this, I like this a LOT. Has a great feel to it. Have slight concerns about holding a button longer (even if slightly) in order to execute. Will definitely back and pick this up.

I'm pretty sure you're aware of the logistics involved in it. Not impossible, but certainly difficult under current conditions.

Would definitely be a nice to have.

What will probably be important is either changing the leadership of EVO, or moving to a different event. You can't argue with success, but I don't think it will be able to go to the next level as things are and that is what "going esports" really means. It is a change in leadership.

What is the next level? What's wrong with how the cannons run it? You want watts to run evo?

Some Canadian pride here, but I'm pretty happy to see Canada Cup manage to get a lot of respect and acclaim after how under advertised and comparatively small it was compared to last year. Good shit to Poongko and Pepeday for having hype finals, good shit to Air for holding it up against Smug and representing Canada well and good shit to Lap Chi for having such a successful event.
