Target - Black Friday ad (XB1 AC Bundle $330 + $50 GC, PS4 GTA/TLOU, lots of games)

Are deals like these ever platform specific as per the ads? eg; I think they show Diablo3 with the PS4 version in the Ad. Would the XB1 version have the same discount?

I'll be in for AC Rogue & Borderlands TPS, but I'm not standing in line at a Target or giving Target my money. To Amazon, I go on Black Friday!

And dang me for buying TEW and Shadow of Mordor day 1.

Hopefully I will be able to snag the Xbox One deal online. No way in hell am I going out to the stores. I hate going out of BF. People drive like idiots. From what I have seen, the Xbox One will be $329 everywhere. So if not Target, I should be able to grab one online somewhere.

Will PSN and XBL be digitally price matching stuff?

That PS4 deal seems pretty good. Not quite as nice as the Xbox One system, but at least it has two games I would want to buy anyway.

No way I am going to stand in line anywhere though, fuck that. I would basically have to start standing in line at around 10am on thanksgiving to get in on any of the doorbuster deals.

Terrible people that go shopping on Thanksgiving just to save a few bucks. I don't care if you have nothing better to do, you're forcing all of the employees to skip time with their families.

No chance

It's that extra $50 Target gift card that makes the Target deal so good, that's basically another free game

That Xbox One deal is bananas. No discount is worth going to a store on BF, though. Not even if they were giving them away.

Hopefully I won't regret getting one last weekend. If Amazon does any BF sales, so they price match within 30 days?

That's a pretty good deal on the Marvel Infinity 2.0 starter pack for $40. It'll save us $35. I hope there are some left on Friday since I refuse to go out to the store on Thanksgiving. Employees should get one day to spend with their families. It's bad enough the stores open at 5am the next day.

The $50 gift card is something Target decided to do on their own right? Not something Microsoft has anything to do with in any way?

I think anyone who wants the bundle on BF will get it. I'm sure Target has plenty of stock. Plus, the PS4 will be no slouch to compete with.
This some kind of reverse psychology to thin the herds for you?

Because that ain't at all how Thanksgiving sales work. The big deals (which recent consoles fall under) sell out immediately, the lesser deals collapse into chaotic piles quick and anything worth digging for is pretty much gone by midnight. By actual Friday, the only way you're finding anything worthwhile is if someone set it down in a pile of Tupperware gift sets and socks the previous night.

The Xbox Deal is crazy. I bought my PS3 with TLoU this February and it cost me around 290 USD. A little more and I could have that Xbox One.

And lol at the Evil Within being 25 dollars. I said to myself that I should wait as I knew it would be around the 30 dollar mark on BF and still decided to buy it full price
Worth every penny and I'd do it again

So is the GTAV + Last of Us bundle pretty much a standard Sony Black Friday bundle or is it just a coincidence that it's the same as Dell's?

I'm picking up Shadow of Mordor for sure. I'm hoping they have Alien Isolation at that price as well. If Best buy matches this price we can get another 20% of too with GCU!

What are you basing that on? Price adjustments pretty much always negate any other discount.

Im hoping Best Buy has shadow of mordor for $25 also. If they do, im hoping i can use the gcu. I heard some people had some issues with it last year with some games. If not, then targetit is. I was hoping it would be 40 bucks on BF, so picking it up for $25 is already a windfall for me.

I may pick up an extra ds4 that day too. I need a third one (especially since one of mine has a damaged x button which is kinda stiff).

The 6PM Thanksgiving opening thing is terrible. One company starts a race to the bottom by opening at 6PM, then other retailers have to match that or risk losing sales.

But this is Murica. We're love exchanging war stories about how much shittier and tougher our jobs are, how bad our pay is, etc. If my job is shitty everyone else should feel just as shitty or shittier.

How many people typically show up at 6PM to these openings? How's the atmosphere among the customers?

Pretty sure its standard at this point. Question is....what will be the price of the GTA bundle after Black Friday?

Tempted to get the XB1 but the only game I want to play is Killer Instinct and even that game isn't fully complete.

Hey buddy are you referring to xbox live being half off if you pre-order MCC?
Yeah, three months are half off. I got a cashier to adjust because the deal is not set in the compter system to work with pre-orders. But yeah, MCC gets you 50% off XBL Gold.
Edit: I also hear Unity works as well.

Don't see how PS4 can win November with these kind of deals.

$329-$50GC-2games

So that's like $160 for the console.

My brother thinks we shouldn't feel sorry for the workers because they are "getting paid".

Ugh...

Your brother sucks. They didn't make the decision for the store to open then, a corporate asshole who only sees competition doing the same so they need to meet them there to maximize sales did and the thing is that corporate asshole will be at home with his family while anyone who works at a store is there at 4pm to set this up. It is a really shitty practice.

Have you ever actually been in a store on black friday? Just stay away from Walmart and it's just a normal day of shopping with lots of people in the store. The few I've been to have just been a bunch of people waiting in line outside the store, then they open up and people walked to grab the thing they wanted. Unless you want one of the doorbusters deals, you don't even have to get there before the store opens.
I wouldn't expect the Yankee Candle to be a madhouse but all the major stores in my area are like cattle drives on BF. I actually waited until around 9PM last year before I tried venturing out on Thanksgiving to pick something up really quick at the Target and the line was 4 people deep and wrapped around the mall parking lot. I was like "NOPE".

Sony's been making a bundle that's specifically for Black Friday sales for a number of years now. The price stays the same as long as they're in stock, but good luck finding them in stock past Black Friday. There's no replenishment once the day's past.

It's a production race at this point. Both consoles have enough of a buzz now that they'll almost definitely sell out of whatever they ship on BF through Xmas.
