Soul Edge came out first by a year. Soul Edge in '95. Last Bronx in '96

I went to casuals today and did that exact CS set up and that exact worm set up. It was glorious. CS trick is funny, you autopilot the FB if you have CS and if it's blocked take the 50/50. The worm set up is just pfffftttt.
but he plays RoseBlackule, this one is for you

Even if they go exclusive, it wont be for the whole SF5 series, that's way too much lost sales. On the other hand, if they go exclusive for the first iteration only, SSF5 on X1 will probably make up for most of the lost sales from the first game being exclusive. And then there's the inevitable PC version, I really don't see them going full exclusivity.I know the X1 is practically irrelevant at this point, in Japan in particular, but it still seems like going PS4 only would be a bad idea.
Also, no arcade release first, has had horrible precedence.
Mortal Kombat motions would work great on keyboard. Hopefully WB and NRS will focus more on the PC version this time around.
Also, I just realized Xrd getting localized means Xrd is getting /localized/. And that means different VA. Which could mean a different cry for Millia while she's getting hit. Please let it be better
Which is ironic because EVO had so much down time this year. It was pathetic.
Meanwhile in Japan http://youtu.be/bDS0_XszNDo?t=19m2s
There's also the possibility of it bombing coming after SF4, the same way SF3 New Generation bombed after SF2/SFA series.
I can imagine ASW wanting to sell the Japanese VA as DLC.There may be an option to keep the JP VA (SF4 does it, if they do it, I can't imagine any other developer wouldn't do it)
That post explains nothing. For someone out of the loop, what happened between Super Arcade and Level Up on nov 7?

Some companies are doing that in Japan. Destiny and the new Batman game is PS4 only in Japan. My money is on we simply do not have all/enough info. If it is SF5, I would not be surprised if the details so far simply mean PS4 as the main development platform, or at worst PS4 Japan only, then multiplatform internationally. Unless its a new IP and Sony is paying for it to hard counter Killer Instinct... which I can't imagine why they would want much less need to.
Interesting talk you got there about visuals of Tekken. I would not be surprised if Tekken 7 was not good in video. Look at Xrd, everyone is saying you have to see the game for real to see how good it looks. I would not be surprised if Tekken 7 was the same kind of beast.
Different topic that I could use some help from you guys with:
Are you willing to use social media accounts to login to sites?
If so, which ones are you typically willing to use, and what information are you willing to share (different social media sites share different levels of information).
If not, what are your concerns, and what can be done to alleviate those concerns?
Thanks in advance for any help/responses.

That's the problem- SC5 was nothing more than bad non-gameplay ideas, and gameplay ideas that were ripped off from 3S without much thought put into them. Which is a shame because Daishi seemed to understand what was wrong with SC4, he just couldn't put his own 3S fetish out of the way enough to not add bad ideas of his own.
No. I only use facebook, I don't use twitter/instagram/etc.Different topic that I could use some help from you guys with:

Because of real life issues I'm very wary about what I upload and share in public(almost nothing), what I comment in closed groups(a bit more but not that much either and I'm usually very specific/topic related) and I don't use any facebook app at all. I just don't trust facebook or social media enough yet to be sharing where I am or what I'm doing at the moment. If forced to(like, if I really wanted to participate in some otherwise closed message board), I would create something like an empty twitter account or fake facebook account. I don't think there's something to be done to alleviate those concerns, sorry. If so, which ones are you typically willing to use, and what information are you willing to share (different social media sites share different levels of information).

Long-term support and a healthy scene? Why do we care about sales so much exactly?
I used to not care about sales at all... then some of my franchises stopped getting games and I realized sales are really the only thing that matter in the industry. That and I guess Metacritic scores. Why do we care about sales so much exactly?

Don't worry. Wonkey took screenshots of the trailer and translated a few names. Lei was one of them.
It's more corporate than EVO.That whole response was pretty scripted and vague. Reminds me of a corporate email.
Yes, I will use Twitter to sign in if it's an option. A few things about that:
- Regardless of what else you do, if you use twitter, turn on two factor authentication. It's just too easy to find someone in control of your account.
- Twitter doesn't share your password with any site they authenticate to, so you're covered there. (but see prior point)
- Always watch what permissions you are granting the site and make sure you're okay with that - especially "make tweets on your behalf"

You might misunderstand, I'll be the one requesting people log into something I'm creating with Twitter =)
Fair enough. In the FB case, I'd be looking for a good amount of the person's contact info, but there would be a clear privacy section about what is done with the information (it's never made public, etc, etc).
But I understand if there are factors where this won't alleviate those concerns for you.
What about if you could use an empty account, but you were prompted for personal information? I assume no, but it can't hurt to ask. At least this way, you have a clear indication of what's being asked for (and why) as opposed to it just being pulled in a non-transparent way.
If not, would you at least use the same empty account consistently?
Hah. As I was typing that out I was thinking man I'm going to look dumb if I'm interpreting that wrong. Then gutabo posted and it was more of welp, good chance I did.
Anyway, the above is kinda a guide to what I think: if all you do is streamline login, it's great. If you ask for more permissions than that, I probably won't do it. Modifying timeline/posting is the biggie.
It wouldn't be good to make SF5 an exclusive. You'd lose out on XB1 sales, DLC potential, and would limit the exposure of the franchise. Fighting games especially depend on community activity in order to preserve longevity. Plus, you always have to account for the casuals who will lose interest after the vanilla version.
I don't exactly get the worm setup. What is it exactly doing? Or is it just that gimmicky (-looking?) frame trap at the end?
Breh, I already use an "empty" facebook account for gaming reasons and I still have security issues. If I were prompted for personal information, I would most likely answer(fully knowing that it's about the FGC and not some data mining app), but it really depends on what the questions would be. I consistently use 2 facebook accounts, the "real one"(which nowadays is never updated at all) and the empty FGC one where I participate in fb FGC groups and have pictures with the local community(and occasional visitors like ChrisG -don't forget to turn on english subtitles- or Jwong). So yes, I would participate with my not-so-empty-but-empty-enough account. And I do use the empty account more than the real one.
I think that might be more in relation to SFxT, Darkstalkers, and other fighting games that sold under expectations. But if Ono has trouble securing money for a numbered Street Fighter entry, he might as well just quit altogether. I'd find that hard to believe given how well vanilla SF4 sold.Ono did mention having trouble convincing management to make more fighting games.
So an exclusivity deal with Sony could be a way for him to secure some money for the project from the outside.
Sf5 sounds boring already.
