Won't everything be resolved around May next year when Avengers AoU hits theaters?

Honestly, that's what I'm hoping for :P

Isn't the mega event came at summer?
What if its bring thing even worse than AXIS? /:

Seriously I really enjoy my marvel hull this year, but since AXIS came its destroy my interest.

Its pretty mindblowing when you consider movies are getting the MCU right so much while pretty much all their equivalent comics are shitshows and can't even keep in continuity. Its like, some giant fucking unstoppable battleship navigating an iceberg belt while the kids can't keep toy cars on the tracks.

Jesus Christ. The top of this page is a nightmare. Spoilers on spoilers with no indication of what it is about. Clicked nothing but holy shit. So glad my phone was dead today.

I'm like

Don't touch anything.

Captain Marvel was great this month, Carol in space works much better than the grounded Earth stuff from the previous run. I'd love for DC to pare the Green Lantern line back down to GL and GLC and give Kelly Sue a shot at writing one of them. Her sense of humor would lend itself well to those books. Back to the issue at hand, I always enjoy a
Lila Cheney
appearance, and the dialog gimmick was fun. I'll give this issue a flerken/10.

Heh, something like that.

I do like the first stuff they're doing with Spider-verse. I know, it's Slott, but here's hoping we'll get a decent story again. And I really, really hope Remender won't lose steam with the "relaunch" of Uncanny Avengers. Also, Hickman's New Avengers. There's a lot to enjoy, but some books are just fucking around.

And honestly, Mackie > Evans too
I dunno man, but Evans is a pretty cool guy,

Soule's She-Hulk is good stuff. The art takes some getting used to, but it works overall. I'm really enjoying Jen, Patsy, and Angie as characters. The artist change in #4 and 5 is incredibly jarring, though. Overall, I'm really feeling it.

Also read the first six issues of The Immortal Iron Fist today. Shit, this is so goddamn good. Just about my only qualm is that Aja's Danny Rand is too much of a dead ringer for his Clint Barton. Otherwise, great stuff.

And sweet, my Barnes and Noble order arrived today. I'll probably get to Justice League first.

Still have the back half of the last Library Edition left to read tonight, but I've effectively "finished" Hellboy, I guess. Definitely a lot of fun stuff there, and it seems the end of what I just saw sets up
Hellboy in Hell nicely for when I get around to picking that up.

So taking a break from the French Revolution to read some comics.

I'll start with The Kitchen since there's little talk about it in here. It's the story about the wives of three Irish mobsters who get put in jail. The story is written by Ollie Masters, art by Ming Doyle and colored by dun dun dun Jordie Bellaire! This issue focused more on one of the wives,
Kath Brennan, who tries to round up the other two wives to continue with the mobster business. It basically ends with them making a mistake and taking down the wrong person while someone else watches the event happen.
As someone who loved gangster movies growing up, a book of this nature basically hits home for me. Will definitely tune into the next issue!

Comics Alliance has a great article/interview about the process Stewart and Tarr went through to create Batgirl's new direction. I found it really interesting to see Stewart's original layouts and Tarr's take on them. This image in particular I thought was fascinating because it really shows how much the little details can elevate a character's costume. In my opinion, the whole look went from a 7/10 to a 9/10 thanks to those minor changes.

Between Captain Marvel, Silver Surfer, and Thor, this was a great week for Marvel comics. Batgirl was solid as well, this is such a breath of fresh air after Simone's run.

oy I want to go to the shop and grab my Batgirl..

I went ahead and tried it because of the cover and Hell's Kitchen. It seemed over too quick... so going to get the next one also

How is that?

I shall be getting the kitchen when I buy my comics later.

I kinda feel bad for Simone because it sounds like Marts (who left right before Stewart and Tarr took over) wasn't giving her the freedom to do what she wanted with the character and now she'll be seen as "what was wrong with Batgirl" since she was the last one to touch the series before the soft reboot.

Yeah, I felt like it was more background info. But still excited to see how the different personality of the women end up clashing and what ruckus they ensue.

I wrote a short little post about it in the OT. My experience so far hasn't been as bad as other people. I'm not disqualifying the problems, they're clearly there, but I haven't experienced them first hand. Love Arno, definitely my favorite next to Ezio right now.

She said from the beginning of the new 52 she wanted to do a fun Batgirl but she was forced to do the version we got.

You know I started to dislike digital effect in Wytches that made it look like random splatter, ugly shit :(

Not really enjoying many of this week book tbh, only Batgirl that really entertain me..

And let just not talking about AXIS, New Caps and Iron man.. wtf Marvel, these thing read like some of the worst from New52 ,ugh. At least Immonen doing his job tho.

Finished up Superior Iron-Man #1. What the helllllll happened. The beginning of the issue gives you a little bit of information, but are these books supposed to take place AFTER Axis? I didn't read any of the previous Iron-Man installments, and this didn't exactly feel like a beginner friendly book. BUT I liked the theme of the issue LOL. It was vain, and selfish, and something I can imagine this Tony Stark to be doing.

Spoilers for a general question
Are Tony and Pepper not an item? Were they ever in the recent books?

Cheska, I just want to say that I love your new avatar. Noto draws a great Jean!

I think today will be the day I retire Selina and pick something new...

Thank you! And speaking of Phil Noto and Catwoman:

How can we not love the two of them together? Opposites attract <3

It's going on at the same time as Axis.

The "twist ending" was hilarious.

It most definitely was! I like Tom Taylor for his work on Injustice so I'm more than willing to give this book another shot.

I did buy the collected editions of Fraction's run though, so I'm going to give that a read at some point.

That reminds me, Hobgoblin AXIS #2 came out this today, and it continues to be better than AXIS

As is Captain America, Thor, Silver Surfer, She-Hulk, and Mighty Avengers

catch up AXIS

Axis #5 was the least offensive entry in that series so far. perfectly readable, but Kluh needs to go like yesterday.

COPRA - Round Two (which collects #7 - #12) will be released in January 2015 and will be available for pre-order soon! Round One is now in Diamond, so y'all can request it at your LCS and they should have no problem getting them in.

Fiffe stays winning!

Really need to get on this series. I love the art I've seen of it.

I just caught up on The Flash, OMG at the end!
GRODD!
The Flash > Arrow in terms of how it's handling it's first season. I'm looking forward to each episode more than anything else I watch on TV.

Not according to letters page.

Roz Solomon was the most obvious choice missing in the letter. I've always figured it was her.

Agreed.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if it's that!
Only thing Im iffy on is how she got to the moon and what is with the hair. Unless I'm forgetting something.

I am guessing Freya is responsible. Part of her long game to help Thor regain his confidence.

So why does she
speak in italicized text? Does Mjolnir magically give people Asgardian accents? XD

I think after so many centuries of use, Thor's 'Thor-ness' has impressed itself onto the hammer. Going forward, Roz will most likely have to deal with stopping the hammer from consuming her identify.

I wish someone could hype up COPA for me. Why should I read it? Ya'll know I'll buy it if you convince me.

Does it give emotional boners like Zero?

They're definitely taking everything they've learned from Arrow and using it well.

God damnit. Can the CW just become the DC Network please? Give it to me. Give it all to me.

It's like going 25-0 in Call of Duty and then dropping a nuke to end the match.

I've never read it.
