Not worth the thread derailment that a Hindle presence creates.
My biggest issue with Hindle isn't even him, but the fact that his post creates a chemical reaction of other GAFers replying to him, and then a thread instantly goes downhill from there.

MS should win November, otherwise I'd be curious what they do in December as it's a larger NPD month [holiday + 5 weeks versus 4 weeks] and I suspect Sony's GTAV/TLOU PS4 bundle is to last the holidays so if MS somehow were to lose November I don't really see December too likely a win for them unless they offer even better deals
Again though I fully expect MS to win November, of course that's just in the US. Kind of curious what their plans are for everywhere else

I just have this feeling that MS may have peaked too soon and their sales will slow down this month. Were as Sony are selling well in the first place and have GTA and FC4 to come.
Bundle a PS4 with every Xbone, it's the next logical step.

Honestly if they don't win November then I have no clue what they could do, at that point I'm not sure Halo 5 could bail them out. If Black Tusks Gears is phenomenal then that could help them a bit I also see Quantum Break doing very well, but they "should" win November. Sony is the underdog this month.

PS4's not suddenly slowing to a crawl just because XB1 has found its groove. Regardless of who do better in the US over Nov/Dec, both will do well.
When You as a manufacturer are talking about Sales "sold in" is sold to retailer. "Sold out" is sale from retailer to end user. Normal business speak

Sold-in means they stuffed the channel for the holidays and are now acting like it's representative of sales. So, due to shipping so few consoles, they had a bunch in warehouses somewhere. Drop a few million into the channel at once on retailers looking to stock up for the holidays and voila, stupid "sold in" numbers.

While I think the Xbone will probably win, I think people are overestimating Halo's importance.
If anything, the huge price drops, CoD, and AC will each contribute more to sales than Halo.

As a retailer, when you order the consoles from MS for this holiday season, do you buy them as a reduced price taking into account the holiday discount, or do you still pay the same price (as previous months) but is rebated by MS separately later?

Ok so they are doing well since the price drop but how are they going to carry that momentum into the new year when they have nothing major scheduled for Q1 and Q2 next year?
As a recent owner of the XB1 I'm actually already concerned with the lack of exclusive titles coming to the console next year. All I currently have listed as certain purchases for the console is state of decay and quantum break. And one of those is a downloadable last Gen port also available on the 360/PC.
The way I see it is that until they start increasing the amount of AND the variety of exclusive games coming to the console the price drop will have been nothing more than the equivalent of applying a sticky plaster to a wound that required stitches.

Halo moves Xbox Ones, I think even without price drops it would win November. You only have to go to the OT to see how many people bought an Xbox for Halo.
Of course COD and AC are moving consoles, but those you find on PS4 as well and I think MCC is the icing on the cake. If anything you underestimating Halo.
