It's pretty amazing how that 6 year old CPU holds up, even at stock.
I still have mine from 09 alive and kicking in my wife's PC. Thing has been a fantastic investment.

I have 4ghz 2500k and 280x.
Even if I put everything lowest at 720p,I get nowhere near 60fps.
What gives?
Using Nvidia control panel vsync I have managed to get rid of stuttering, but the general fps seems lower.
What kind of performance can i expect at 1440p if buying this while having a 4790k/780ti sli?
Really? Those are the best looking shots I've seen of the game yet - it looks very realistic.Something has gone extremely wrong with your brightness/contrast balance.
Apparently I own the game now. Should I be using half refresh rate vsync on Inspector along with Afterburner to limit it to 30fps or just one is enough?
I think I should get ~30fps at 1080p with PCSS disabled, and a lower quality AO (and no AA). I'm using a 680 + i5 3570k.
I know this thing is bad but jesus, this performance is something else.
Rarely hitting 30 fps, most of the time (especially indoors) hovering between 17-24
R9 280x
i7 920 @ 3.7ghz

Tried lowering and tinkering with every setting available, even setting everything to low. Even tried removing my overclock on both the CPU and GPU, nothing can get this thing to run even semi smoothly. Other people are reporting better performance with similar hardware, what gives?

Not suprisingly showing worse numbers than the GameGPU one.

Are you using SLI? 25-30fps @ 4K is incredibly high for a single 780Ti. What settings are you playing at? Have you made any tweaks at all?Followed this and I had vsync set to adaptive.
1080p w/ everything maxed out I'm getting 60fps with NO dip at all. I'm quite amazed by it right now but that guide seems to have done the trick. The only dips I'm getting are during cutscenes for whatever odd reasons.
It's locked at 60 and it's running as smooth as butter.
Setting it to 4k drops it down to 25-30. The game is simply gorgeous in 4k. Wish I had the set up to run that res at 60fps.

Game is running great for me so far (i5 3.30 and 970), but I can't get rid of the damn tearing. V-sync on doesn't seem to make a difference. Anything I can do? Sorry if it has been asked before.
I'm playing fullscreen, so v-sync should work.
Hey, just out of curiosity, is there any drawback in using DSR? Like performance hit, compared to regular downsampling.

I can't get SMAA to work with this game, either with the injector or sweetfx. Any tips?
Has to be SLI for that kind of performance.
Does that include MSAA or TXAA? If so, kill those as they destroy performance.Damn, I'm getting around 20-30 FPS at max settings @ 2560x1440 with a 780Ti and i53570K. Not even gsync can save thatVsync off.
Environment = Medium
Textures = Ultra
Shadows = Low
AO = HBAO+
AA = FXAA
1080p
Adaptive VSync in Nvidia CP to Half Refresh Rate and Forced AF @ x8.
I am getting stable 30 FPS during gameplay and framerate drop in cutscenes.
My specs are
i7 2600K stock
8GB DDR3 @1600MHz
GTX 760 DC2OC 2GB
The FXAA used in Unity is not normal FXAA, it should be noted. It appears to have a temporal component which really does a decent job of eliminating shimmering. It's not bad.FXAA is so horrible though ;-;
Time to get a second 780Ti, will upgrade with the 980Tis come out. Don't feel like bothering with selling my Ti and then trying to find two 980s given the minimal performance difference.
Use both. With just inspector I still had dips but using both together while disabling v-sync in the game produces a completely stable 30 fps.Can i lock 30fps through inspector? Or do i need something like After burner etc etc?
Again, putting refresh rate to 30hz in the game doesn't seem to work, since i force the vsync through the drivers.

I just went for half refresh v-sync and locked at 30. No way in hell I can get 60 fps at 1440p with this game.
Sorry for lame question, how can I do this on AMD card ?

Yeah, FXAA looks pretty decent in this game and makes the framerate average around 45 FPS which I'm more than happy with given I have a gsync'd monitor. TXAA is my favorite, but it'll have to wait a bit.
Really weird though, changing AA settings around makes the game run worse. Changing to TXAA makes it drop to around 10 FPS and then changing back to FXAA makes it run worse than it originally did.....what is happening?
To be fair performance is a bit better than I originally thought, it's certainly playable at least. Scale is pretty stunning and unparalleled with this level of detail.ugh, this just upsets me so much.
i have the same rig as you, and i refuse to believe we should be needing to spend another $500 - $1,000 on hardware to be playing these games - refuse!
[but truth be told, i'm going through the same thought process myself #sadface]
I'll give that a try, thank you very much!SweetFX SMAA is working fine for me. Try a version with Bowlotar's injector
