Subs always go up going into an expansion, that doesn't mean anything.
I was able to leave a professions alt at level 80 for all of Pandaria and I didn't have a problem learning all the recipes I wanted. Looks like that isn't possible this time around. You can only increase your profession levels through the garrison system so I have to get the alt to Draenor after all.

Im trying to psyche myself up to do the zones and actually read the quests and shit, play it like an actual rpg since I know i wont be raiding. But the short time I logged in last week to check the pre-patch, I did those blasted lands quests and I just found myself just skipping all the text and flying (which you cant do in draenor, granted) to the objectives on the map :/
I dont know what to do man, the itch is deffinately there (about time too, since it hadnt shown up yet) but i still have the feeling im going to waste this 2 month card, and I know for a fact that Ill be stopping next week, at least until im done with Inquisition (although since I wont be raiding its fine if I stop for a bit, im in no rush)

I love the Garrisons. Whoever said this feels like Suikoden fucking nailed it. So much fun.
The questing experience (well, the little I've played of it so far) is a lot better when skipping the text now. There's way more voice acting and it means I'm actually following the story through the zone a lot better, and the markers on the map are so accurate now that there's pretty much no reason to read the quest text if you don't want to.
It's pretty neat running around Draenor. You can pick out areas where stuff happened in Outlands. For instance Alliance Garrisons are pretty much exactly where the Horde base was in shadowmoon valley.
Then there is seeing Karabor before its the Black Temple and all that,

I knew my server was low pop, despite being a launch server, but I didn't know how low pop. I'm in the US and haven't even seen a queue, let alone had connection issues.
What's your server? I'm going to transfer one of my characters over so a friend of mine and I can take advantage of low pop.
I was leveling on thaurissan fine. I logged out for few minutes to get something to eat now i cant login. All the oceanic servers are locked. I wasn't here for Vanilla, BC or Wotlk launch, but between cata, mop and wod. WOD has just been horrible. Last night had to wait for an hour to do the Establish garrison quest because every douchebag in the world was standing on the item. I logged came back and blizzard had made a fix by skipping the quest altogether so now i had a garrison. After that it was laggy but one could play it. This morning it was fine but now ... /sad panda

How does that not mean anything? It's in reference to a) subs being down and b) an explanation for the server queues. I'm confused by your point.
It's maintenance, 4 hours of it.

So annoying that they do it when it's actually playable in shadowmoon valley. Gonna be really annoyed if server pop back up at 11 and shadowmoon turns into a clusterfuck again like yesterday.
Oh well, time to go sleep a few hours

Great. Got up early and got to finish some quests. Now the 4 hour maintenance ;_; I hope the fix the instance servers so that my garrison dosnt get overrun again by 4000 people.

I have been in queue on Tichondrius since 8:20pm central time. I was 8400 in queue.

Do you have to pay to do a character account transfer to another account? I want to transfer a Warrior I use to play on my sisters account like 8 years ago to my own wow account I just bought. I don't want to start all over, and I just want to make a death night which I can if I transfer because my old character is over lvl 50.

I played for about 6 hours yesterday with no problems and I am not even 92, yet.
there are tons of quests, typical MMO kill and fetch quests.
personally, I think they could have cut a lot of them. there are many main story related quests with cutscenes and/or dialogue. I think it would have been enough if they kept only those.
the horde starting region isnt particularly overwhelming either. I really didnt like pandaria setting, didnt even play it until long after launch. but it had a beautiful starting region.
however, so far I am pretty pleased with the addon, there is a lot of story that keepy me interested. the intro questline was great and the garrison seems like a lot of fun. gameplaywise the fire mage didnt really change much since pandaria, but I'm not complaining, gameplay is fun.

who wants to quickly school me on ret palis. If I play, I have the sudden urge to heal on a pali, but I cant level as a healer (well I could), so I guess I have to be ret, but Ive never played ret at all, im not a big melee guy

I think ret is pretty straight forward. Just hit all your skills that generate holy power on cooldown and use the holy power spender.

You build Holy power with your Judgement, Exorcism, Crusader strike in single target. Multi target you just use Hammer of righteousness instead of Crusader strike. When you get 3 holy power you can use Templar's Verdict for single target or Divine Storm for multi target. If you need to heal you can also spent your holy power on Word of glory to heal yourself or someone else. Seal of Truth is used of single target dps and Seal of Righteousness for aoe. Avenging wrath is only dps increasing cooldown.

I had absolutely no expectations of this game but I said what the hell and got it before launch.
FUCKING AMAZING. Loving the garrison concept so far, made me feel all Commander Shepherd once again. Quests are so good I'm actually planning to not do any dungeons until heroics (Level 92 so far).

Is it just me or do the new Warlock skills suck? I just unlocked more healing on my Ember Tap.

I've only managed to get a couple hours in. I had to group with a friend on a low populated server to even get anything accomplished. My server (Zul'jin) was a mess yesterday and I've been sitting in a queue for a long time now. I hope Blizzard manages to get everything fixed today.
