I have the Vita version of the last GG, is it worth spending time with it to learn basics?
Also, when I did that, I looked at the tutorials on Dustloop but couldn't really figure out the answer to the role that each of the five attack buttons serve in the game (e.g., what's Dust for?) other than as you slot them into combos.
I know they're stupid questions, but if I don't ask...
Yeah, Accent Core is a good place to get a feel for the game. Xrd has removed some of the more advanced game systems, and some characters have been changed a bit, but the basics will carry over fairly directly.I have the Vita version of the last GG, is it worth spending time with it to learn basics?

It's so beautiful ;_;
The only thing that worries me is whether my hands can handle playing him. I would be so sad if it turned out to be beyond my capabilities.
If you're referring to holding the button to charge, I used Vergil on point for quite a while and learned to always keep his charge going regardless of what I was doing. Doesn't Zato require inputs and releases, though? For example, hold A, qcf, release A? It's been ages since I played GG.Playing Eddie isn't that hard it just requires some dedication. But that's how I view most things in life.
If you've played a character like Zero in MVC3 that helps.
