how so? one pines hard after the other for reasons unknown to me, the other seems to tolerate it as she feels hes a sad lonely dude(which he is) thats not interesting and exciting, its sad. earth x had it right

You wouldn't see the appeal of a seemingly attractive, intelligent, level 5 mutant who has shown you kindness and compassion? I'm confused. Scott x Jean are too goody-too-shoes for my liking.

Clearly I'm biased though, before someone comes in an avatar quotes me. I've always liked Jean, and I don't like the person they write her as when she is with Scott. Simple as that.

That's like...the majority of her appearances tho

The Jean triangle is one of the most stupid thing in comics ever. She loved Scott. She also loved Logan. SHE LOVED EVERYONE. That's how she fucking rolled. She drew her powers from love and empathy. END OF DISCUSSION.

Jesus christ, Marvel... how many books are you going to let Bendis write on? I would have been fine with him doing this GotG team-up book if it meant a new writer was taking over the main-line title.

I'm sorry, but this was the perfect type of title to have synced up more closely with the movies (and one of the few times I'd be OK with them doing something like that), but instead they have a guy who can't even sync up what he's doing with previous arcs or even previous issues he wrote. Fuck Bendis and fuck Marvel for thinking his current GotG work warranted another title for him to work on.

If she ever comes back she should do something really controversial and love a regular dude.

Um, don't most superheroes has some sort of a triangle going on? Batman seems to love like five women at once sometimes: Talia, Selina, Zatanna, Wonder Woman, Jezabel Jet, etc.

That would actually be really awesome. Isn't that what the appeal of Lois Lane is? That she a normal, non superhuman powered, woman?

Outside of killing her, Grant wrote a good Jean.

Good ol' compassionate Jean

this book in Inhuman meets your favorite New 52 launxh title, the creative team ain't sticking around.

The Darkness is starting to intrigue me too, 90's Image just is an itch I need scratch. First Compendium HC and Soft is OOP major prices though....

The love triangle is incredibly common in any form of fiction, but it doesn't really apply to Jean's character because, again, part of her deal is loving everyone. That's her superpower, more than the telepathy and that's why she's awesome and everyone loves her. INCLUDING YOU.

E: AND IT'S MAG-NEATO BECAUSE COME ON, MAGNETIC POWERS ARE NEAT-O.

LOL. You got me. That was good.

Jean sucks. Her power was being less bitchy than Emma in New X-Men

Good for you. I honestly can't think of any superhero characters I hate. There are some I have no interest in, and wouldn't pick up any of their titles, but none that I would go out of my way and say I "hate".

Nah, I'm just playing. I liked Jean a lot in various incarnations up through the mid 2000s, but the character assassination of every X-Men character ever just kind of soured me on all X-Books/X-Men in general.

I will say that Jean/Logan shippers are indeed weird.

Why has no one started a social campaign to get Bendis off of GotG entirely?

Maybe because there are less than 60,000 people that would actually care...

I just finished up the Infinite Avengers arc (Hickman's Avengers 29-34) on my lunch hour, holy cow that was SO good. I know I'm perpetually LTTP but man, this run keeps getting better and better.

Edit:
Totally loved that Clint's first question for his future self was "Do I ever get my dog back?"

Also liked the Groot surprise at the end of the bit with Franklin.

Leinil Francis Yu is my one true god.

I feel we need to have a long and deep conversation about the Jim Balent variant, which i'm only LINKING TO because, yo. YO.

This is what you guys wanted and I am going to RUB YOUR NOSE IN IT.
*lol*

Has Harley this strange look on her face because her bra is this small? :D

What an ugly cover.

Also, I think I ve lost my Ms. Marvel trade. Got nothing back, I hope it will be there when the weekend is over.

It's not that weird considering when they are alone the scene turns into this

that really should have been the end of it...dont know why they kept that shit up with Logan keeping a lock of Jean's hair on some struggle shit. That's a L, Logan

like...the fuck

Is age really something to be concerned about with vampires, Thor and Hercules running around.

I don't know, man. I don't know.

Then again, Scott was always a total tool in regards to relationships so he didn't deserve Jean either.

JeanXEmma surprise tsundere OTP

Some of this X-Men art y'all keep posting is seriously hurting my eyes... I forgot about how terrible some of it's been over the years.

Right, but that's the point! It's not supposed to work out! Also the age difference is like 100+ years.

It doesn't work out because Logan doesn't want for it to ever work out, because it working out means he's forgiven for all the bad shit he's done, and while literally everyone else in the world has, he keeps being a butthead about it thinking he's a killer and a monster and a jerk and all that.

I think he also probably never really got past Mariko. He'll do romantic flings now and again and flirttease with Jean forever but I don't think he can do a steady relationship and so he just hurts himself over and over again with this shit.

Speaking of Wolverine, I just want a JAaron Spider-Man and Wolverine ongoing forever.

Why do you guys hate fun.

And Art Adams.

The last issue of GotG from Bendis (where he "wraps up" the cancerverse mystery) has got to be one of the most offensively stupid comic books I've ever read in my life. Not only can he not keep his facts straight in regards to the Thanos Initiative but he contradicts his own bullshit from just one issue prior.

Bendis + Cosmic Marvel = comic cancer.

Whoever was asking about the dark horse sale on Mass Effect and Halo comics, they are having a game comics sale right now.

Thanks! I actually signed up to their mailing list that day, so I just got the email about the 99c issues "Gamer's Sale."

I came to see if anyone here was discussing it to find that it's only in relation to me asking the other day. It's awesome of you to point it out for me, though!

I know the Dark Horse app ain't great, but I'm surely not going to pass up 10 issues of Mass Effect Foundation for $10 when it would cost $14 per graphic novel of 4 issues a piece to get it physically.

5 issues of The Witcher for $5 too! I think I'm going to spend like $22 and get everything I wanted. Would cost like $60 otherwise, so I'm kind of excited.

Welcome to the wonderful world of digital comic sales

But a lot of women dig older men.

Black Widow is better redhead anyway.

True.

I don't know how much I like Widow, though. She did have a thing with Daredevil so yeah I guess she gets props from me but MCU Widow soured me on Widow overall, I feel.

Best Marvel Redhead is Mystique, comics-wise/SPOILER]

EDIT: That fucked up spoiler wasn't even a Freeza joke. I just legitimately messed it up. Leaving for posterity.

Why do you guys hate fun.

And Art Adams.

It's barely fun and writing trumps art for me any day of the week. This isn't blind Bendis hate. I'm still enjoying stuff like Powers and USM. On this book however, he's a major mismatch and the whole Nova resolution was borderline offensive in how sloppy and unsatisfying the whole thing was.

I was thinking more of the Black Widow as seen in the recent Winter Soldier series. I never think of the MCU characters when a name is mentioned.

She's definitely the best blue-skin in the Marvel universe.

Oh, Brubaker's BW is great. A+.

No, my boy 616 Nightcrawler has to be. Runner up: New X-Men Beast
