Since I couldn't find DA MP Legionnaire trees on the DA Abilities site and such (found here) I searched around the MP vids and put this together from Bioware's stream.

Now to put together my early build. Shield Bash + it's Ring the Bell bonus looks pretty darn awesome for enemies with guards up.

For those that have played it, do you tink I'll be able to balance Farcry 4 and Dragon Age? Farcry is out on Tuesday and Dragon Age is out on Friday... I have a week off work, but I need to know if 'll even have time to touch Farcry in that week before finishing DA. No point wasting money.

Plenty of time for DA as you can complete far cry in 15mins.

I am in act 2 of DA II last thing I remember doing was
Going on the expedition, your sister died. I may be a little farther than that but its been a few months
. How long would it take for me to complete the game from there?

Depends on the difficulty setting and how many side quests you do. Really it shouldn't be too hard to beat it by Monday if you play all weekend. Honestly I'd just bump it down to easy. You'll have plenty of time in DAI to enjoy the combat.

Seems like a no-brainer for PC to me. Not only do you get mouse and keyboard support, but there's just about no chance that it won't perform and look better than PS4 version on hardware like that.

You can also get it for like $50 or less and no tax over on GMG.

How do you get it for $50 or less on GMG? Tried to use their 20% off November code and it doesn't work?

Looking at this MP footage, Bioware confirmed that they designed around 8 abilities because of consoles.

"In the other games we found that having players on PC have 20 abilities and console only had 8 made it really difficult to design around, so this time we made sure everyone had 8."

This is why I'm glad Pillars of Eternity doesn't have controller support or a console port.

Video of specializations

I can't decide between Assassin, which looks crazy fun, and Tempest, which is pretty unique.

Thanks just what I've been looking for! Rogues are looking as awesome as ever guess I will have to roll one in this game as well xD. Pretty much in the same boat, choosing between Assassin and Tempest.

Too bad since I wanted Cole on mah party and don't like having two similar classes :x.

If it works it works. Limitations aren't necessarily bad, especially if everything was designed around it, which looks to be the case.

i am more convinced now that EA embargoed the face offs for this game, it is crazy how DF haven't put out a single article about this game and im not saying a full article but a small caveat while they work on the complete analysis to show how's the performance in the first few areas of the game, they did it for COD:AW, MCC and a bunch more games, oh well

But.. uhh.. there are only 3 classes and 4 party slots?

Yeah but there's where specalizations comes in! I could have something like main character DW Assassin, Cassandra Templar, Solas Rift Mage and Varric on the Crossbow and traps. Sure there are two rogues but they play completely different.

That's good stuff mate. I'm actually considering spend some time in MP first, to give more time for more patches (if required) to be released. Plus, I think there are unique events during the first days/weekend.
Has anyone seen if the specializations unlock automatically or do you have to do/find something in game to unlock them (like DA:O)?
Each specialization needs to be unlocked, and are apparently in different locations.

Yeah, but let's not linger on that.

Ah, right. That makes more sense. ;)
Honestly, I'll use companions for their character and not their skills. But I'm also a horrible player. I just want to hear their banter and interactions, haha.

DF must be drowning in games as there is a lot AAA releases very close to each other and articles they do require quite a lot work. Games like CoD: AW, ACU, Far Cry 4, DAI, MCC etc.

Maybe DAI isn't just that high on their priority list?

Embargoed console comparisons? Please tell me that is our speculation and has never happened in the past. That's truly absurd.

Along those lines, I've decided to just keep my PS4 preorder and start fresh. The EA access was awesome, but 5 hours of ptigress is too deep for me considering this most likely going to be a 100 hour play through.

Nice overview. Still, I feel I should at least watch a good playthrough of DA2 since it seems a lot of plot points in Inquisition are from that game rather than Origins.

I don't recall that much of my partial playthrough of Origins, but it seemed the plot primarily revolved around the Darkspawn threat and the treachery of Loghain. I do not recall any narrative about the conflict between Templars/Chantry and Mages.

Is DA2 where the conflict plot comes into play?

God mode here I come.

Yeah, the whole game is pretty much built around the tension between the two.

I used one of their 25% codes a while back and it worked for me. I think it was like $47 total.

It is also on their VIP page, though, but for $51.

absurd? why is that? same could be said about articles and every piece of media regarding an IP, there could be differences the publishers don't want people to know until the game is out, it could be money involved with a console manufacturer and that could lead to certain policies regarding that, there's so many ways this can be interpreted, your way, absurd, respectable i guess

edit: beaten.

I find it absurd because a publisher will hand the game out to press for review, and even issue a publicly playable trial, but then tell outlets that they had better not compare platforms until launch.

"Please review our game so people will buy it, but don't you dare tell them which platform is technically better!"

Ridiculous.

Pretty much.
DA2's last arc is essentially about Templars and Mages and probably the origins of the Mage/Templar war.

The biggest reason for playing DA2 over DAO is that the characters from DA2 have a direct impact on DAI. Sure there are two characters from DAO as well. But if you had to play one game, might as well play the one where the returning party member (and protag) comes from.
