Honestly, unless new lead characters get introduced (which is not the case), I feel Adventure 03 doesn't need to exist if we have 02. The og kids matured and understood their crests as shown in 02, and we have gotten a conclusive ending to their marital and career-based lives.

So, yes, I think some retcon will happen. Also, I would bet that the format would change a bit, seeing as how we will have to get new evolution lines, and how the characters are now highschoolers.

But as Stuart444 said, its about time Toei shed more light on the show.

Yeah, really don't care about that at all. All that matters is that they retcon the 02 epilogue, and have it turn out that following 02, Ken somehow got sucked into Tamerverse, leading to him having many more adventures together with Ryo (and only as a bonus getting as far away from Miyako and her boringness as possible) and I'd be happy.

It wasn't really clear iirc. Takato remembered his love for Digimon through Agumon when Guilmon was Megidramon.

Eh, I personally like S4 though it's probably one of the weaker series. I really enjoyed S5, Savers (Data Squad in English).

i got bored with S6 at around episode 30. Felt waaay too samey. (I did watch the cameos of the older protags on youtube though).

So uhh... watch them and see how you feel? You'll likely decide early on if you like the series or not but at the very least I'd recommend Savers/Data Squad.

I'm not a fan of Brave Heart, really, but I'm used to the way noisier Saban dub so that chill-as-fuck song sounding strange to me shouldn't be too surprising.

What I really hope is that they don't fuck with Butterfly too much, if at all.

Takato had a figure of Agumon on his shelf. Nothing really to connect the Tamers and Adventure universes. I read somewhere that originally, Taichi was to appear in Takato's thoughts and help guide him to Guilmon.


Season 4 has probably the best lore imo.

In 02, while everyone was in middle school, Joe was writing High School entrance exams. He is the same age as the other older kids though. This was in the Japanese version.

In the English dub, the older kids were in High school and Joe was preparing to go to college.

In the Digimon Wiki they say Joe is one year older than Tai, Matt and Sora and he was a grade above in school. They use Japanese references. I think he is indeed the oldest.

Same. I don't get the "shit just got real" feeling when Brave Heart plays. It's not bad in itself though.

Not at all. Savers (5) and Xros Wars (6) were both great, especially the latter (though YHWLTT was bleh, but Xros Wars proper was great).

But yeah, it doesn't really matter that much since I can't imagine they'll bring in anything that happens from anything later than Tamers at the most anyway other than cameos and nods here and there maybe, since the other series are standalone.

I love 3, Beelzemon is the dopest, but 1 is still my favorite, since it's just an adventure and that's what I'm there for. And 5's art style rubbed me so far the wrong way that I could barely watch the half I did.
