How long did it take them to make this game? It boggles my mind how Bioware is able to keep producing games of this magnitude as frequently as they do. It feels like this should be at least a 5 year project.

From the RPS review, I love this line:

I haven’t enjoyed a BioWare game this much since Baldur’s Gate II and I haven’t enjoyed an RPG this much since…well, Divinity: Original Sin. Ask me to choose between them though and I’d throw sand in your eyes and run a for the hills clutching them both to my chest.

PS4 would work in another way. Such as buying the game on the HK PSN instead of US. So wherever you bought it from that's when it will unlock. Not recommended to buy it off of a PSN where you can't understand the language. HK usually have English though.

I highly doubt it works that way. It didn't for me with Destiny IRC.

Or I am deeply mistaken and if so can someone clarify?

Anyone? If I can play the game early on the PS4 by buying it from the US store instead of having to wait until Thursday for the EU release that would be such a delight.

Bioware as a whole has upwards of about 800 employees broken up into multiple teams.

They started working on this game in concept after Dragon Age Origins released back in 2009, so yea it's been a while in the making. This team is separate from the Mass Effect team, though many developers interchange between the two.

A number of devs on this game have already moved on to the new Mass Effect.

Oh, is this only for PC? I guess I can't play my Xbox One version. My trial through EA Access ran out, but it was fun while it lasted.

As a huge fan of the series and played the full 6 hour trial u am litlle skeptical. It seems like it could be a cool game but it doesn't feel like dragon age.

Maybe more time with the game will.bring that around.

Really? I didn't feel that way at all. I thought it felt just like a Dragon Age, a nice mix of DA:O and DA2.

Am I the only peon waiting till midnight for this?

Nope. My friends and I are all getting the PS4 version (I'm the only one who has a gaming PC), so I'm headed to the midnight release tonight with them. I'll be trying not to read this thread too much though, I've made it this far knowing barely anything about the game and I'd hate for some spoilers now.

So just to confirm, the Flames content is included with the Deluxe Edition not pre-order bonus content that will be gone by tomorrow?

Only because on Amazon it says that the "Deluxe Edition also includes the mighty Flames of the Inquisition" and no mention of it being a pre-order bonus only.

So I could pick up the Deluxe Edition at any time (like a month from now) and still get all the Flames content?

To be fair there's three games in the series now so there's no longer any baseline of what a Dragon Age game needs to be. They try something new each time and if it sticks they run with it.
