Wow. Why not just put on a mask and rob the store while you're at it.
Congratulations on the theft!
And he's so proud of himself, too. Ugh.

Which is probably why the third party went for the name "Amozon" to trick people for the price-match.
Very deliberate scamming.
They took the seller off the site, so probably it got canceled for you.So I take it that I should probably cancel the amazon order I made earlier?
A "moron" who gets paid minimum wage and has their hours constantly changed/shortened with no benefits.
Wal-Mart treats their employees horribly, they should expect horrible performance.
Cashier didn't. Manager did. If the price is over a certain amount (I think its like 20+ dollars) then a manager has to override.
This is fraud.
As it says in the OP, the listings were fake ie never existed
This isn't unethical at all. Customers are making Wal-Mart make good on their price match promise. Its Wal-Mart's problem to make sure the price shown is legit, not the customer's.
I still have a screenshot of the page saved. What are the chances of me printing it out, going to wallmart and still being able to do this?

0%.
Don't bother. Emails already went out and the page is no longer live.

Furthermore, these price errors do not affect Walmart corporate, but yearly bonuses for employees, lower & middle class people. Take that as you will.
Not really. Walmart should have asked to see the listing but who brings it with them other than on paper? Walmarts that I know of never had a system in place to check to see if the price matched item was legit anyway other than a customer's word and proof in the form of paper. Yes, that is their fault. That being said it's not the same as a glitch in their pricing or a legit deal. These were manufactured and I'm sure since the people were stupid and put their purchases online, attached to a twitter account, receipts and all, for the entire planet to see, they'll get in trouble. My point is anyone with a grain if common sense would know that just looking at the listing.
So its walmarts fault for not exercising due diligence.
way to ruin price-matching for everyone.
the employees are supposed to check for this though. I priced matched at target and they made sure it was Amazons listing not a third party.
Yeah I'll give you this one.As was stated in the OP, the listings were fake (fake seller) - they never existed.
Hence, these individuals created a fake listing, in the purpose to price match at retailers such as Walmart - unethical.
If customers who were not involved in the process want to price match, go ahead and do so. I ain't judging, get the deal!
The beef is not with the price matching aspect.
Furthermore, these price errors do not affect Walmart corporate, but yearly bonuses for employees, lower & middle class people. Take that as you will.
You seem to be misguided if you think these two statements are at all at odds with each other. This most certainly is unethical, which means it's not the morally right thing to do. Which it clearly isn't.LOL at people calling this unethical, theft and robbery. What's the air like up there on the highest of high horses brehs?
Take what you can get it in this world.
If that's major discounts on expensive luxury goods, then fuck it.
Wish I had taken advantage and flipped em for extra Christmas cash.
Pretty soon, Walmart and Best Buy are going to start hiring people to troll GAF, SlickDeals, and CAG and make sure which deals are legit. lol
Doesn't this hurt Sony and not Walmart? I remember someone saying in the Wii U thread that Nintendo actually takes the damage.

Say goodbye to price matching now thanks to these pathetic scammers.

People whining about ethics over people scamming Walmart? Wow. That company is pure garbage. Call it karma.
