Have you tried fiddling with some of the difficulty settings? There's a ton of customization in there, you might find some settings that work for you. On pro, all of what you said applies tho. I'm tempted to say git gud, but I can imagine it being tough on people who aren't big on sims.

That being said, i'm still having an absolute blast with this game, even in this 'early' stage.

Those will have to wait for AI to be finished. AI is pretty good now, at least compared to most racing titles out there. But it still needs many tweakes regarding avoidane and braking (they brake way too late), and then some bugfixing.

The trailer was recorded from an online session with WMD members.

No offence, but next time do some research before buying a game.
 
The AI at least has good pace. they break in some strange areas but other than that I find them to be competent. they need some fine tuning on tracks like spa where the AI brakes before Eau Rouge not on Eau Rouge.

Grid 2 is what you're looking for. Still plenty of folks playing the PC version, and the game now free on Steam
 
New video of the series 'Real Cam Effect', this time with Project CARS, where I've added filters for enhancing the realism and lighting, also flashes and spots on the lens. The video is recorded as if captured from a camera in this position, its a onboard lap with the Lotus 98T Renault Turbo at Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Not my gif, but shows some clever avoiding of a crash...sound makes a big difference for immersion too, it can be pretty intense when you are on the limit.

That GIF looks cool but the McLaren looks like it's jacked up on 22s. I'm looking at some pictures on google and I guess it kind of does look like that but it still looks odd.

Also, "mclaren f1" has "rowan atkinson" as a related search lol

Well, let me ask you something, sorry if it was addressed before. I have a Team-Member account on Project Cars. Anyone know if I can redeem a ps4 version of the game with the discount my account gives me? Or I have to stick with my pc version? I don't have a gaming pc anymore, so I would love to change my license to PS4.

Wow, pCARS has been going for three years now? Only seems like a few months ago I backed the thing! Keep up the good work :) Folks like yourself and AdrianF1ESP are very welcome around here!
 
For those of you playing the latest PC build, does it feel like a game that will be ready for release in March of next year? Is everything starting to come together?

that looks pretty bad to me. The cars look great, but as a video showcasing the weather it looks so fake and superimposed. The cars are entirely dry with the rain seeming to be just a thin layer, and the splash animation billboard things are pretty ugly too.

I'm guessing it looks way nicer from the cockpit, but replay angles don't do it any favours at all.

Wow, GT6 could have been pretty great with better sound, huh? ...the blurry or even missing cockpits still would have turned me off, but... yea, kinda makes me want to play it again and give all stuff added after the Senna update a try.

Actually makes me wonder what GT7 will look like, if even GT6 is not far behind top PC offerings, especially impressive considering 256 mb of Ram and same for VRam and an outdated GPU.

Its a comparison of compressed 720p video. :/

They're not even close when seen first-hand(or uncompressed) with native resolution.

Yeah, the only thing GT is competitive with is its lighting engine and modelling accuracy. It is laughably bad in terms of textures and IQ. Hopefully the PS4 fixes that.
