Man I just love trolling people with Wario's bike.

I love fighting a dedede as peach, I just toss a turnip at those black spikes they toss out. shoots right back at em at terminal velocity.

also, peach's dash attack is fucking amazing. it would be broken if the second hit didn't whiff sometimes after the the first hit connected.

What can I do with gold in this game??

Buy trophies, do master/crazy orders, play classic mode on higher difficulties, allot more time in trophy rush, and bet on players in spectate mode.

Crazy orders is a pretty big gold sink if you don't have any passes to use on it.

Just got the game so I've been using Mario and Wario. What I love about this game is that all characters are easy to jump into (same up, down, forward B smash, etc.) Yet will take a lot of time to master. That's really a great sign for a fighter.

This game really shines when fighting on a flat/omega stage with low/no items using 3 characters or less. It becomes way too chaotic with more characters and where stages become more of a factor than the characters themselves.

People must be really drunk or high to find enjoyment out of eight player smash. I just get dizzy.

It's been a while since I have Smashed, and I simply suck at this game. Anyone have pointers? I am trying to decide who to main with. Right now, I am thinking either Zero Suit Samus, Samus, Sheik, or Dark Pit.

I'm sucked a lot (in fact, I still probably suck compared to everyone else here) at the beginning, but I found Pit o Dark Pit to be a good character to start with. He has a lot of recovery which helps when learning and his attacks are fun/easy to use as well.

So hoping online I realize I suck at this game. Can someone point me to a site that explains some advanced stratgies. Also teaches how to play as the new characters.

I don't know if this is the place to ask but I bought a refurbished Wii U from Nintendo's online store on Thursday after Smash came out. Have any of you guys also ordered the refurbished model and how long did it take for it to arrive?

I'm hoping to play Smash by Thanksgiving, but I don't know if it'll get here in time.

I've heard people getting it within 7 days.

That's what I found out last night too. :P I do well against CPUs at level 9 with a variety of characters, but not really against the crowd that plays on 1vs1.

It didn't help that the connection was absolutely terrible. I dunno if that was on my end or what. :/

If anyone wants to play against someone who isn't very good, my NNID is:
BamWhamKaPau

Well, that disconnect at the end was weird...either way, GGs Flux! I don't face like...any good Sonics at all, so those matches were a good learning experience. Gotta space my aerials better. .

Yeah, that was my bad. Internet went out temporarily (which is why I'm only replying now); ISP problems I've been having lately.

GGs! Nice Shulk; first one I've faced that was that good. Guy's got some real long reaching attacks, it makes me have to play differently than I'm used to against characters who don't really have projectiles. You weren't using his Smash/Shield Monado as often as I've been seeing others use it, but were using Speed and Jump way more than others. Against Shulk, it seems that I have to really play defensively and capitalize on his long recoveries.

I'm coming for your sonic! I got a couple of people in my hit list xD

I wish I had more time tho. Between school, work, church, family, my girl, I don't have as much time to practice as before. I'm getting old lol

I don't know what's going on. I keep getting kicked and every room is empty when I join, despite it showing that there are other players.

Same here. I got ahead in my online classes for next week already so that I had time for smash. But working at a grocery store doesn't bode well for this week for me. At least the weekend will be sweet.

The "Play as Rob and land a home run between 1640 and 1650" is one of the dumbest challenges ever in the series. Pure luck. Just gonna use a hammer for that.

Edit: And as soon as I check, can't use a hammer on it. Of fucking course.

Anyone have any tips for playing as Shulk? I love Xenoblade, so I would like to play as him a lot, but I'm having a hard time connecting hits for some reason. I know how to use the Monado arts fairly well (Buster and Smash being the most important ones, of course), but sometimes in a really intense battle, it's hard to switch to them quickly.

I love thematic games in Smash. Been playing Special Smash with low gravity, rocket belt and sci-fi/space-type items on Orbital Gate Assault. Space fighters only. It's a lot of fun.

I recently transferred all of my Mii's from the 3DS version so now I'm playing a lot of Star Wars and Game of Thrones haha.

We can help you out, what are you confused about?

Also, if you're new to a fighting game, don't expect to go online day 1 beating people.

I have trouble just hitting people. I always end up just past them or just outside of reach. So I usually end up rolling around in free for all blocking while everybody else beats each other up.
