Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Curt Hennig, Perry Saturn, Randy Savage, Big Boss Man. There's probably a few more.

I spot Mortis in the ring at the end. He's dead too. There's probably several more dead wrestlers all in the ring at the end.

Am I the only one that loves the fact that Sting's first moment on WWE TV is beating up a damn Armstrong?

It's like he's back on WCW Saturday Night.

I better everyone from TNA was watching that show in anticipation of that moment. It's wrestling history in the making.

I'm pretty sure people have debuted in the past with themes that are then switched in short order. To me, the music tonight sounded like a prelude more than something that will be used as it was all the time. I can see them splicing elements of it with the '97 theme.

Well Sting is 55. In 20 years you and pretty much every other guy who hit their mid 50's would wish to look like that. Some people are losing a little perspective here. For a guy his age, he looked more than presentable.

When most of us are 55 we aren't gonna be on national TV trying to be badasses wearing tights (sweats?) and facepaint and trying desperately to relive our glory years.

Sting's debut was very sub-par to what it would have been. It suppose to be an incredible debut for a man like that but with no baseball bat, bland music (even Sting debuting with his TNA's music would have been off the hook), no build up, and no intense situation make it seem like they should have pulled the debut out of Survivor series and left it for RAW or Royal Rumble. Very disappointed and I blame WWE thoroughly for this.

The Scorpion Deathdrop was excellent done though so I am happy about that.

Is it weird to think that mid card cruiserweight Jericho in 99 would have a better debut in the WWF than Sting? Imagine someone saying that to you in 1998.

I can't put my finger on it, but something about Sting's debut didn't feel epic or exciting.

I was happy to see Sting return, but it felt like it was handled in a bland way.

Maybe it had something to do with the announcers. I wish someone like Jim Ross had been announcing.

Maybe the 5 min staredown between Sting and HHH was boring. I'm tired of everything always revolving around HHH.

Maybe, as others have mentioned, he should have come out to better theme music.

Or the problem could be that we were expecting Sting's return since it was spoiled for us.

His debut could have been alot better of course but again you guys aren't taking history into account.

Vince is not going to go out of his way to make an ex-WCW guy look good. It's not going to happen.

TO me it just feels like it's been too long and too late for him to have a meaningful impact. He's old as shit and at it's core this is sorta just cheap nostalgia pandering that WWE does way too much of as is. I mean yeah it was cool that Sting finally made a WWE appearance, but does anyone really expect it to make the product better?

It wasn't a surprise, and WWE also handled it in a very predictable and uninspiring way.

It was still pretty good because of Sting and it being his first ever appearance in WWE, but it could've been way better.

The crowd wasn't as hyped as it would have been if he debuted ages ago. I'm sure a lot of people in the audience didn't really know who he is since he has basically been invisible for over a decade.

It was the delivery. Also remember that HHH already had a stare down with Ryback so now everything seems like a big mess as HHH has enemies for no reason. The icing on the cake was Sting walking out thus giving the impression that he only came to change the balance of power and have another debut later which is... senseless. Blame the WWE creatives, blame Vince McMahon, blame HHH, blame Stephanie, everyone is all to blame for they screwed up. As someone said, Chris Jericho's debut was MUCH MUCH bigger and he was a mid-card. Heck, even CM Punk's return with the WWE belt around his waist was solid... heck, don't get me started about Brock Lesnar's return, that was insane with so much adrenaline that got everyone insanely hyped:

However, Sting is MUCH bigger than both of these guys combined. Sting is 20 years of waiting, 20 years of dreaming, 20+ years of pure anticipation for what should have been the bigger pop ever... but they made him to that. *sigh... Good but not good enough for the man that we all know deserve so much more, Sting.

Tommy Dreamer sounds fucking salty to me.

He kinda has a point I think. Yeah it's a cool singular moment when looked at in a vacuum, but isn't it just indicative of the problems with WWE that a 55 year old who's best days were nearly 20 years ago is needed to generate any sort of serious buzz?

You know when would've been a good time to debut Sting? BEFORE ANNOUNCING HIS FUCKING DLC.

I feel the same way.

Yeah I agree.

I'll be interested to see what happens with Ziggler now. He got a huge rub tonight, but a lot of mid carders have gotten the rub at Survivor Series and ultimately nothing came of it. Hopefully he can ride the momentum.

Sting in a WWE ring was meh, 13 years too late, if Sting had premiered in WWE after WcW went belly up it would have been great, but he just looks like an old mofo who probably can't walk without pain killers..

The thing about a Sting/Taker match is that it doesn't have to be overly physical, high impact like Taker's last several Wrestlemania matches.

Taker vs. Sting is a match that can carry itself just off of both superstars' legacies. It would be the Hogan/Rock match of this decade.

That had a 49 year old and a 30 year old, not a 49 year old and a 55 year old.

Hardly watch wwe these days, but didnt kane judt started putting on his mask again a few months ago? Why is he now without it?

it's been on and off for the last couple of years. the character kane is a complete afterthought.

wouldn't be surprised if the mask was back on again within a month.
