First smash I played seriously, so I knew I was gong to get wrecked. So I let the RNG choose my character that I would stick with through thick and thin and threw myself into the Glory hole. And after 42 losses as ZSS, I finally got a win!

Yep, I'm already halfway to becoming a pro. You can touch me now.

Found a list. There are four different arrangements of Mute City. Sakurai pls

They chose Weyard from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn smh

Valedictory Elegy from Baten Kaitos Origins has a new arrangement which is cool. Dat cringeworthy violin tho

I notice a lot of original and Melee/Brawl arrangements.

Overall 2/5

Haha, so Starwolf's theme and Roy's Hope are on the list of CD unlockables. It wouldn't surprise me if Ridley's theme, Majora's theme and a Golden Sun track again are on there too.

Masterful trolling.
I really don't like the way he has trolled us with this smash, because how it has ended, it's far from a masterpiece but just a good smash.

Nah, there's some stuff of note, like Fountain of Dreams, missing as well.

good lord

The holes from Brawl as well makes me think they might have ran out of time to finish up porting all the music. Fountain of Dreams missing is very un-Sakuraish, he's even included that song twice and two unrelated Kirby games!

Maybe the Miiverse/Tournament patch will fill in the rest of the holes.

For some reason, my game will no longer let me play with my classic controller. I can navigate the menu system all the way to character select. After that, I have to use that bulky screen controller. Anyone else have this issue?

The more I think about it, the more I miss adventure mode from Melee.

Make it happen in 5-6 years Nintendo.

Or even better. I'd definitely pay for an adventure mode expansion pack.

Notable songs missing imo:

Fountain of Dreams (the heck?? Seriously though, WHAT??)
Metroid Prime Menu (rip monologue)
Humoresque of a Little Dog (the Earthbound/Mother shop song doesn't appear on the Earthbound level... ok)
You Call This a Utopia? (the better version of Porky's Theme)
Fourside (One of Melee's best)
Mike's Theme (Go go go go Mike, the only vocal Wario song I could stand and actually enjoyed)

Seriously

Fountain of Dreams?

FOUNTAIN OF DREAMS!?

There must be a music patch coming. Way too many easily ported songs from Melee/Brawl are missing. Wario and Pikmin were nearly gutted entirely.

dat fountain of dreams as stage dlc
:( i'm crying

Any tips on how to beat the Kirby's Crazy Appetite event? The one where you have to heal yourself in the Great Cave Offensive. This seems impossible, I've only gotten to about 45%. There is far too little food, a huge area to traverse, and Dedede's slapping gordos everywhere.

My general impression of the soundtrack is that while I generally like the new arrangements a good deal more than Brawl's, the variety leaves a hell of a lot to be desired. There's a lot of unnecessary ground retreaded that could've been better used to give series like Wario, F-Zero, Metroid or Sonic more arrangements (or any arrangements, in some cases).

The cut music is also kinda confusing. Considering the enormous amount of disc space offered, I figured that pretty much everything from Brawl returning is a given. It's not even like the number of missing songs takes up a huge amount of space, there's not a ton. But there are a few pretty glaring omissions, which is really strange.

Music would be incredibly easy to patch in, and we know they're already going to need to patch in music with Miiverse (a number of missing songs seem to be general "Wii/Mii" related, which leads me to believe they're for Miiverse).

Patching in 12-15 new CDs that are nothing more than Melee/Brawl rips could be seen as a way to invigorate single player and get people to continue playing Master/Crazy orders in a couple months and pad out single player a bit. It's an easy way to try and get people to play the game some more to unlock new music. And if it's anything like Brawl music mods it's as easy as including a music file and editing a text document, and I imagine it's not much harder for Smash 4.

That, or these songs are saved for potential Mother/Wario/Kirby/Pikmin/Metroid DLC stages, which seems unlikely, but enough cut songs exist for it to happen.

I've had this for 2 days now, and it's already de-throned Melee as my favorite in the series.

So happy that they actually brought
Dr. Mario
back. He's my main, and his absence really stung when Brawl had come out.

After playing a lot of Event Mode (still not finished) I came to the conclusion that this game needs an Event Creator. Imagine you can upload your creations, and if it is fun enough you can receive votes that could convert in coins or Crazy Orders tickets.

The events in this game are really in other league from Melee and Brawl. It is not only fight fight fight.

The trophy descriptions are great. I had a good laugh with many of those.

The online is really fun. Even when I have a negative ratio, I'm having a blast. Many different techniques and skills.

But the best of all was when I went to my parents house and played this game with my brothers. My mom thretatened us with turning off the console after hours and hours of playing, just like the old times n_n

Hell yeah! Finished Classic 9.0 finally! Ironically using the character I'm not good at lol. Peach kind of helped me evade those pesky danger zones in the Master Fortress.

I certainly hope they're added in via a patch, along with possibly some new rips. It'd be a real bummer if some old favorites just don't show up at all in this game.

Adding more music definitely sounds like a good way to get people to keep playing the Orders, I just wish I was more confident that their plan is to add them back in, lol.

edit: oh, also there's some other weirdness like Bowser Jr's Fiery Flotilla playing over the gameplay section of the Bowser Jr trailer, but also not actually being in the game. Almost makes me think that they intended to have more songs?

Took forever to get the PacLand stage, that was a slog. We tried to turn off certain stages for random (because as my friends pointed out, stages like Orbital Gate "are cool, but not fun to play on"), but then realized we needed all the stages first. Then when we tried to play Smash Tour, my friends said they "just wanted to play Smash" so we stopped trying lol.

No Ballad of the Wind Fish!

And too many tracks from B/W and X/Y. Sure there a few tracks from R/S and D/P, but not enough from the OG and G/S! Cynthia's theme is nice though.

And this bears repeating: four arrangements of Mute City! I like Mute City as much as the next guy, but good lord. The GX tracks are also some of the least memorable. It's like Nintendo hates F-Zero or something.

At least F-Zero has a lot of tracks that aren't Mute City though, and not "City Level", "City Level ver. 2", "City Level Jazz Theme", and "City Level (vocal)" in addition to the mute cities.

I think what annoys me most is Orbital Gate is pretty much a KO if you do not realize how the stage worked. I lost Crazy Orders because I was below the Arwings after the missile blew up.
I wish the stage selection from 3DS and Wii U was put together.

With Tournament Mode and Miiverse not actually being done yet, I think they really wanted to get the game out the door ASAP and so I have faith they'll patch more music in. Especially if the music was used in a trailer. Considering we already know a large content update is coming soonish, hopefully it hits with that.

Rips can't really be hard at all to include.

Post of the Day today :P
We've included four versions of the Mute City music tracks. The regular Mute City track is from Melee, Ver. 2 is from Brawl and Ver. 3 was specifically arranged for the 3DS and Wii U versions. The track from the original game is in here too. This game probably has the most music tracks compared to any other game.

I don't mind Mute City, it's the most iconic song of F-Zero, so of course it's going to be remade a lot. Look at all the Mario Bros 1-1 songs or NSMB themes.

Nintendo needs to create a better messaging system, I want to be able to play with friends by asking them if they want to play, and I want them to see the message I sent them on screen, the existence of this game warrants it
