So do we know what "version" this is? Is it the patched 3DS version, or does it have it's own differences?

I haven't played the 3DS version since the patch, and it definitely feela different to me. Vectoring seems pretty much gone, and characters are dying much quicker. Whether it's from vectorinc changes or smaller blast zones I'm not sure.

The thing with Smash Tour is that it can be great fun once all of you know the rules, but it takes its time to get rolling. If you get impatient you can abandon it for being either too chaotic (a lot of shit goes on quickly without any information, exacerbated by how the rest of the game's modes hold your hand when explaining the rules) or a bore (in the rounds without fight encounters, to a newcomer unexciting music plays while these Miis just move through the map because...where's the Smashin'?).

That said, even while liking it, I'd rather have had 1) Smash Run HD and 2) "Each Stock Is A Different Character" as its own mode.
Yep, pretty much all of this.

Although if Smash Tour was simplified and easier to understand, and if it took place in actual themed boards like Mario Party (I.E. a Zelda board, a Metroid board, etc), it could be really interesting.

I'm at work at the moment and won't be home until the morning, but I'll add once I can accept the friend requests tomorrow. Mainly use Game and Watch, but I'm dabbling in Duck Hunt and Little Mac.

Add me!

v1.0.4 of the 3DS version is speculated to be in sync with the Wii U version. Dunno if that was already proven but both have vectoring gone.

The amiibos thing is such a missed opportunity! I Want to coop to with my creation in EVERY event, heck, I want to take him online!

Nintendo pls do

Hey, America. Mind answering two questions about controls?

Q1. Can you use 4 Remotes and 4 UPCs together? Site suggests you can, common sense (Bluetooth) suggests you can't.
Q2. Can you map regular movement to d-pad on any controller other than Remotes? (I am aware that most of you will find me committing a blasphemy here, but for various personal reasons I have a thing against analog sticks and vastly prefer Nintendo's d-pads.)

I would love someone to show me Shill isn't bad.

TWILT, have you added me yet? We may have another game to spar in .;)

Also, how the hell do you kill Ridley in 1 minute in Smash Run? -_-

Oh, vectoring is gone? I will always hold the opposite direction, it just feels natural. I guess that is the reason deaths are a lot faster, but it made me think the blast zones were a lot smaller.

I have done terrible in For Glory tonight. Probably only won 1/4 of my matches :(

Dang Chillin is making me want to try and learn Mega Man.

Edit: Okay those last two matches did not show off his Mega Man very well lol.

Mega Man was so difficult to control on 3DS, he seemed like a very odd set of tools. C-Stick makes him shoot up a ton of tiers and suddenly his play-style makes sense with an actual controller.

Im terrible at this game, or Shulk is really bad, all his moves are super slow making it hard to hit or puninsh anyone. Does the speed stance increase his attack speed or only movement?

Yeah, with the C-stick set to Attack you can hop around the stage with short hop N-airs pretty easily with him. It was extremely hard to do on the 3DS.

Only movement. Shulk has a steep learning curve, I'd suggest trying to learn someone easier if you want to get the basic fundamentals of the game down and get noticeably better. Mario is a good character to start with, as would Link. Then once you feel you've gotten better try to play Shulk again and learn him.

Ugh, I just had a long set online in FG against some Rosalina. I'm glad to have the matchup experience, but I fucking hate fighting her after Luma cost me a tournament.

Personally I think Buster and Smash are the best modes for him. Just dont backslash all over the place.

Man, I feel blind. I'm finally figuring the game out after some initial indifference, but boy howdy, are these characters small sometimes.

I'm playing on a 40" Samsung and sitting about six feet away, and on certain stages I'm lost as to what's happening on screen.

What size TVs are you guys using for this?

Just went through all 3 maps of Smash Tour for the first time.

What a bunch of complete and utter nonsense. And they expect me to do challenges in that thing? I know what I'm using my Gold Hammers on...

55 and 65. Maybe a smaller screen will up my chances?
