I cancelled my wave 2 and 3 preorders after half of my Amiibos came with jacked up packaging due to shitty Amazon packing/shipping.

Yea, Amazon is frequently guilty of poor packaging but that looks like tha package was never sealed properly.

I want to do all my amiibo shopping in physical stores so I can evaluate their paint jobs, but I got a €7,50 coupon for an online store that sells them. Which amiibo have the best chance of not looking derpy? I need at least two, preferably three (coupon is only valid on orders above €40).

Pikachu seems like a safe bet. As for the other two, maybe Yoshi and Mario?

Yoshi, Mario, Kirby and Pikachu seem like the best choices, they're all simple designs and there's no stands to break off on them.
 
Coming in Europe this Friday, wish I could buy more but 15€ (~20$) is a bit too much and there are no buy 3, pay 2 deals here :(

Will probably end up with just Link & Samus...

As noted, that's Nintendo (well, whoever is doing the production/packaging rather) not Amazon. There's almost 0 glue on that shit.
 
Still can't think of a reason to buy one, but I hope this is a nice source of revenue for Nintendo. They are finally utilizing their IPs in a smart way.

Of all the novel accessories they make, this seems to be the most logical. Way better than say....the E-reader.

The cost of making the figures must be relatively low. I hope Nintendo really pushes forward with these and releases a ton of figures.

Why was it shipped in the first place, I doubt the back came out in a padded box. It was off before it was placed in the package. unless he took it off himself

Thanks. Yeah, had those four in mind but I've seen reports of Kirby amiibo with complete dents in their body and/or misaligned eyes.

Pikachu, Yoshi and Mario it is then!

If the package left the warehouse in that condition, they shouldn't have shipped it to me and should have sent it back to Nintendo. I still blame Amazon. When I worked for Target, we would always defect out Skylanders and action figures that were in this condition. Unless this happened en-route to me, I think Amazon just tossed it in the box expecting me to not care and throw the packaging away anyways.
 
I picked up Link, Kong, Samus Aryan, Kirby, Star Fox, Yoshi and Mario

I've only tried it with Link, which I named Omega-Link (...) and gave him the shadow Link skin. It's pretty interesting, but I wish we could use it in Smash in those single players mode as a second partner for coop, or even online.

Fox will be named Furry Yiff
 
If you guys buy multiple Amiibos, try to separate the orders to two-three per shipment instead. I had to do that with TRU to get the $10 each deal and most arrived fine. Only one was shipped in bubble envelope and the card got bent but I'm opening them anyway so no biggie.

The same rule applies to Amazon cuz I got two from them and they arrived fine.
 
I just grabbed Animal Crossing Villager and Link from Target yesterday to go with the Marth I bought Day One.

Just need to grab SAMUS and I'm set until the next ones hit.
 
Anyone have any wave 2 Amiibos pre-ordered through amazon and have the date as December 31st?

I thought they were supposed to be out like the second week of the month.

Lol, its like Xenoblade is co owned by gamestop or something. I'm not going in the store, but I did order it from their website. I won't miss this amiibo, considering it probably will become hard to find later on. I probably should buy 2 of these, one to play with and one to keep sealed.

Shulk is probably the Amiibo that I'm most looking forward to for the actually in-game functionality.

It will be fun to see how level 50 Amiibos utilize the Monado Arts. Level 9 Shulks just don't put up a challenge. Same issue with Robin. I want to play against high level players who can properly utilize the new characters and level 9s just aren't up to the challenge.

What are these, and why am I having my significant other pick me up a Marth and Fox one on the way home?

Is each one for that specific character in smash or can you use anyone of them?

I'm trying my darndest to give each one terrible puns for names.

So far I've got:
"Slammus" for Samus
"Yogal" for Wii FIt Trainer
and I fed my Villager nothing but speed boosts, gave him the yellow shirt and called him "Mr. Zipp" I realise it's not really a pun, but my friends hate fighting him, and it's hilarious. All he does is short hop and spam the slingshot.

Alright, went ahead and preordered all the Wave 2 and 3 figures off of Amazon, though they don't have Little Mac, Captain Falcon, or Pit for preorder for some reason.
