I believe you're right. They are releasing Omega SF4 which might be the launching pad for such a game. I wouldn't be surprised if its a fighting game so Sony can compete against Killer Instinct on Microsoft's side. I just want a fighting game that has good combos, flashy and doesn't rely on bare bone mechanics like SF4 did. Omega is a breathe of fresh air that the series needed.
Xrd is super anime and it wouldn't catch a lot of peoples eyes here in America, even though its gorgeous. I'm saying compete with Killer Instinct since MS has an exclusive fighting game thats popular in America, I would assume Sony doesn't want to miss any opportunities and fund a game made by Capcom.
Well, if anything Ono has been visiting/talking Sony & Playstation a bit too much the past months. There's also the removed linked in project.
In my mind, something new from Capcom will be shown at PSX.

Why would they want to compete with Killer Instinct? It's not doing much for MS.
They also have GGXrd as a PS exclusive.

Crash was so long ago that it is completely irrelevant to today's main audience of kids, teenagers and young adults. Adult players who were teenagers or young adults in the 90s? Sure. For Nostalgia's sake. Some of them at least (quite a few depending on the territory).
But overall market relevance? 0
Character overall recognition? Near 0.
Sony (or Acti) would have to do a ton of work to make it relevant again, aside from the nostalgia factor for a niche segment of the gaming population.
In my humble opinion ... it simply is not worth it from their point of view.

I guess I can see the LazyEye one but Lockstarter feels like a weird stretch. Wouldn't it be composed of something like "Ra-ku Su-ta-ru" in Japanese? I guess Lockstarter is close enough though. I'm getting so excited for this event even though I said I'd try to keep my expectations low so it would be impossible to be disappointed

This part isn't true. There was a recent interview with Naughty Dog and they talked about Crash.

L5 already confirmed they won't be doing another Ni No Kuni because they had that partnership with studio Gibli.
I can only assume that means SG is too busy to be bothered to work with L5 again. Might have taken too much time and resources the first time around.

It's a new game. I wouldn't be surprised if USF4 gets ported in the future though. They're still supporting the game and it's still the #1 tournament FG in numbers.
At the 30th Anniversary show they flat-out said they'd like to work on another Crash. And they wouldn't rule it out despite the rights issues.

Exactly, Uncharted 4 Gameplay will be a megaton as it is. And Ratchet trailer will be icing on the cake. This is why I don't think Sony will show anything new save for Indie games. They want the limelight on The Order, BloodBorne and Uncharted 4. Once The Order and BloodBorne are out the door then they will be ready to announce new AAA games. Lets not also forget they have Until Dawn and Tearaway Unfolded announced too. Again if we are lucky we will get a new teaser for Guerilla Games New IP but that's about it and even then I ain't expecting that.
Agreed! Throw in Tearaway for me (never played it) and the rest of the obvious and it should be more than satisfactory.

I wasn't big on the regular games, but Ioved the hell out of Crash Team Racing. I'd love to see a game combining regular single-player with cart racing, in a Crash-World type of game.

I've been lurking for a while and I see where a lot of people are coming from. The whole Crash debate has some strong arguments on both sides and quite honestly I have no fucking clue what's going to happen at Playstation Experience. A Crash Reboot/Remake would be an absolute dream come true for me, and the concept that Crash is unpopular is grossly exaggerated. In the UK Crash is still one of the most widely loved videogames (some will obviously disagree) , and I can name dozens of people that I know in real life that would love a new Crash game and have done for several years, so the users saying that Crash would sell like shit are either using their own personal thoughts on the matter or just talking without thinking about other opinions. Personally, I think Naughty Dog should leave Crash alone for the creation part. They have grown so much since Crash, and I feel like it wouldn't be the same game as it was all those years ago. There are a multitude of studios that could make a worthy Crash, so in that sense I have no problems.
If a new Crash game were to be announced, I would love it if it were to be released in a similar way to Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New 'n' Tasty, where it's released digitally at a decent price. I understand that some people just aren't excited for a possible Crash revival, and I understand that, but for some to just shit on the people who want it without any reasoning other to fuck with people is pretty unfair. No one will probably listen to me and some will some may give me shit for this, but I'm just stating my thoughts on the matter. I'm all for Crash Bandicoot and I can't wait for Playstation Experience no matter what happens.

lol. I'm not sure. I think you are right about it being Rockstar but I'm relatively sure that Japanese doesn't have "L" and it is replaced with "R." (I think "V" is replaced with "B" in Japanese as well). I wonder if Rockstar would bother with an exclusive game. What would convince them to do so.

Because it's not good for them. That's why they choose to own IP's that they fund now. That way they don't end up creating a 6m+ units seller for another publisher.
