Steam "Exploration Sale" -- i.e. Autumn Sale -- now live (November 26 - December 2)

I really hope the Season Pass for Dark Souls 2 goes on sale. I kept waiting on that, but I'm feeling pretty low/dark enough to return after spending 100ish hours with it. I know the remaster was just announced but I'd like to go back.

My Credit Card doesn't clear until the 28th so hopefully there won't be any Flash deals of games I want.
Then again it clears in non-US standard time so I'll prob. get lucky.

You'll be fine. There are still 8 hours until the 24-hour Dailies change and they run for, well, 24 hours, meaning you have until 10pm on the 28th to jump on whatever tickles your interest.

"the Autumn and Winter Sales share the same discounts*"

If I'm getting this right, since Watch_Dogs is now a Daily at 50% off, you are saying there's no chance of it going any lower during the Winter Sale. How can you know that?

The past Autumn and Winter sale had the same discounts.

So Sins of a Solar Empire dailies might reappear later during Winter Sales right?

Yeah, exactly. If you see something you want as a Daily in the here and now, you're not potentially screwing yourself over by jumping on it, and similarly, if you miss something, it may very well pop up again during the Winter Sale. That being said, I jumped on The Long Dark and Necrodancer myself since, being Early Access indies, I have my doubts that they'll appear again.

Thanks! I don't feel I need to rush because there will be metagame in Winter Sales and some games that I have to finish. But it'll be sucks if Sins of Solar Empire dailies turned out won't appeared later (though its already dirt cheap with just 50% discount).

No one knows for sure, but history as evidence says that it's most likely is basically peoples justification.

Not all the time.

It hasn't always been the case but it has been so for the past few years now. Presumably there are simply too many games for Valve to micromanage for the Winter Sale within the few-week gap that separates it from the Autumn Sale.

Would anyone be interested in buying a 4 pack of Toybox Turbos? I've got me and someone else interested soa far but need two more. It pushes the price down to £6 each.

I broke my daily rule and bought that Gravity game for 9p.

Although it's only 3p in Russia. Typical Steam price gouging!

This is my first Steam sale so I have a question, mainly regarding CS: GO.

Is $7.49 the cheapest price the game will see during this sale, or will it decrease as the deal nears the end? How do you know which ones remain consistent and which fluctuate?

What about Castle Crashers?

CS:GO will probably never be cheaper considering how infested the game is with cheaters and Valve has acknowledged sales are actually terrible for the game. When it used to be $5 or less cheaters would just buy 20 copies so when they get banned they've got backups for months.

I really wish they'd raise the price to $50 and never put it on sale, but that's just me.

when I go to specials - > show games (here) it says 2875 :/

I was referring to the total amount of games, not just those on sale. There are "only" around 3,800 pieces of DLC available, so games actually have a healthy lead -- more so when you consider that the DLC figure includes DLC for software in addition to games.

What's better to get no, Walking Dead 2 or Wolf? I plan to get the other one in the future, but only one this sale.

For the record, I loved Walking Dead 1.

The past Autumn and Winter sale had the same discounts.

The last one did, the previous sales had shifting prices though. Last year I did notice some titles that weren't on discount at all during the winter sale like they were during the Autumn sale, I would expect some of this with Early Access titles.

It's been on my wishlist for over a year without getting discounted. Crossing my fingers for the winter sale then...

I want to buy shadowrun dragonfall; it's on sale ATM but should I want till the last day?

Virtually everything on the store is discounted, but as always, wait until the last day of the sale before buying anything you particularly want that is discounted by less than 75% as there's a chance that the items may appear as Daily Deals as the sale progresses. Also note that the Autumn and Winter Sales share the same discounts* (not deals; discounts), so don't fret if you miss a Daily as it may reappear in a few weeks' time.

Only exception: You want to play it right this second and don't have time later.

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP - I've been meaning to get CS:GO for a while now and didn't know the deal was on. It's about £5 in the UK and I know I'm going to get hundreds of hours out of it, so thanks!
