Yes. Well, I'm on one of the offshore Islands, so when Amazon only post the day before a Friday release I never get the item till the following week. Since they've started doing this as a rule, I'm experimenting with other retailers. Got a better chance of Smash coming tomorrow since it was posted on Wed - my Amazon order would still be in their warehouse!

Pretty alright, but imo the spine and the top of the front page should be a little more standard-classy, the background a little less cluttered and the back page could have a little "more". The windows on the back look nice but should be more.

Yeah, definitely agree. Especially so since this is SSB5, but even still.
Also imo the background on the spine should be more clean, else it looks weird in a shelf.

Hah. There's no tracking info so it's likely coming with Royal Mail, like Bayonetta 2 FPE did.
For the record though, it didn't actually arrive, so my luck ran out it seems! Hopefully tomorrow.

Keep in mind that the GC adaptor pack isn't exactly small so it might not come with your mail, but instead be delivered by a royal mail parcel truck. Apparently these can deliver anywhere between 8am and 4pm. At least that's what I'm hoping happened because the mail's already been today for me and it was just boring letters XD
I am also a beginner. I found that I was pretty much on my own. Just play and have fun, and you will figure things out. I did watch a few tournaments, and I bought the hardcover guide, which gave me a few pointers.
This cover makes me think...
I wonder why Megaman, Pacman and/or Sonic didn't make the cover?
Would be cooler if instead of the tiny renders it had their icons.

And mine hasn't arrived from ShopTo. A bit grumpy now, needed something new to relax me from ORAS coverage for an hour or two.
It's just a pain because my post comes the middle of the afternoon. I could go down the shop and get it before it would arrive. Whole point of ordering online used to be to get it early.

With the lack of availability of the GameCube controller adapters in the US, I'm thinking about ordering one from Amazon UK. With the slowest shipping option (6-10 days), I can get it for $32. Any reason why there would be any compatibility issues over here?

America uses USB slots whereas we use UKB slots. They are not compatible.

I just ordered a few GameCube adapters and controllers. I'm going to give it a try and see if it really is any better than using the pro controller. I figure I have nothing to lose. I can either return the stuff or sell it to people here if I change my mind.
It does seem odd that Z is the default for grab. Even weirder is that Nintendo defaults to the opposite on the game pad and pro controller. On the GC controller, you would move your finger up to grab. On the default controllers, shield is the high button and grab is the low button.

I got mine (adaptor bundle), meanwhile two of my friends have not got it but one did get the Pokemon they ordered so if there's a pattern here I can't see it.

I stayed up far too late playing Smash. I'm going to be a zombie at Thanksgiving today. Probably the second best holiday to be a zombie, though.
