I love Pokken!
So the "clones" from the original trilogy aren't the clones created in Episode II? Damn I'm a Star Wars noob, I thought they were the same thing.
There are no clones in the OT

I think like this all the time when I'm super hyped about something.Does anybody else think like me and hope I survive long enough to see this? A years is so far away.
FYI, crossblade/crossguard lightsabers have been around for 10 years now

I gotta say, that fanfare from the original score as the Falcon comes in is still incredible. What a freakin' piece of music!
Can't help but feel like anyone who loves Star Wars and wasn't hyped as hell from this is just lost.
Just people with very poor aimThere are no clones in the OT
nope. just the internet's predictable reaction to anything differentAfter the amount of people who've had their hands chopped off in Star Wars is the idea of having a cross guard really that crazy?
I highly prefer the cinematography in this trailer over the other films aready. This shot tells me that Abrams is bringing over some of his visual takes from Star Trek, and I'm loving it.
I don't know, they are not exactly well-known actors. I did spot Oscar Isaac in the X-Wing, love that guy.Why does everyone know who the dude in the storm trooper suit and the girl on the flying thing are?
I have a serious question
When is this movie taking place?
Before or after Darth Vader got stomped?
Why does everyone know who the dude in the storm trooper suit and the girl on the flying thing are?
But....but.... J.J. Abrams' bad.FYI, crossblade/crossguard lightsabers have been around for 10 years now

Aren't the clones supposed to have the physical appareance of Jango Fett? Are they gonna give an explanation (or was it given in previous movies) for him being another person now or JJ Abrams doesn't give a shit about continuity and coherence?
Maybe that's not a clone but he looked like one.
Is that Tuvok?
nice. 'They see me rollin', they hatin' " wouldve been a bit more apt.
Why does everyone know who the dude in the storm trooper suit and the girl on the flying thing are?
Remember folks: storm trooper uniforms could be put on by anybody.
Just because that guy was in the suit doesn't mean he plays a storm trooper in the movie.
For clarification on the clonetrooper/stormtrooper thing, clonetroopers were only around for the Clone Wars and a little bit beyond that. They were purposefully engineered so that Palpatine could carry out Order 66 since presumably non-programmed soldiers wouldn't have the loyalty to turn on their Jedi superiors who they fought alongside and befriended for 3 years. After the Clone Wars were over, the Empire started just recruiting people to be stormtroopers since it's cheaper and they needed not just an army to fight the separatists but a galaxy-wide military to patrol and keep the entire empire in line. According to Pablo Hidalgo, they're a volunteer army that Palpatine has created through imperial propaganda inspiring patriotism in the citizens.
The reason they suck compared to the clonetroopers is that they're just shoved through training because they need huge numbers of people in the force. They're not bred to be warriors like clonetroopers. They win through sheer force and attrition.

To you, I think it looks awesome. I think GAF is just hyper critical on every single little thing.
This is a teaser.
