With people talking about Final Fantasy VII, saying that storm is coming and expecting people to NOT relate that to Cloud is a bit naive to say the least. Its annoying. Can't be that hard just to keep it to yourself.
He already said he knows nothing about a FFVII remake, and that the game he was teasing (if you can even call it that) is something else entirely.

So it's not like he's intentionally misleading anyone, just gleefully joining in the hype train. Would be nice to hear a little bit about that other game, though...

PM me please, my secret-keeping abilities are of legend <3

He's already said he knows nothing of FF7 so I think you're misunderstanding his post.

Oh God people make connections to everything, he already said before the thing he knows about has nothing to do with FFVII, so that post has nothing to do with what people are grasping at when it comes to FF.

The only way I would believe a FF7 remake is really happening is if Sony starts talking about bringing gamers the Power of the Cloud.

This thread is pretty hilarious though.

The unknown is always more exciting.

There's a lot of unknowns that are actually confirmed (or there's a lot of information from developers/leaks) to be happening though.

I don't see why people are jumping to the games that aren't proven to exist for the public.

That thread was pretty funny. People kept asking the same questions and sharing the same concern every page just because the OP refused to put the known details in the original post.

Personally? It's fun to get hype and excited. I don't actually care what happens at the event. I just want to have fun in the run up.

There's gonna be so many disappointed people in about a week's time. I don't know why you guys always do it to yourselves.

You should be going into it thinking that we'll see some awesome gameplay of announced games and new information. Anything on top of that is a bonus. That way you don't get inevitably disappointed when Sony don't announce a FFVII remake.

Totally i am excited to find out what the rest of the pictures on the notebook are also what Jaffe is doing <_<

I'll still be fine. I'm mostly just expecting to see something new on Uncharted 4 and possibly a new look at Persona 5. Anything else is just icing on the cake.

Hellblade is basically heavenly sword two.

Definitely, but an official sequel with Anna Torv(Nariko), Andy Serkis (King Bohan) and Lydia Baksh(Kai) would be much better.

Even if Sony just remaster Heavenly Sword for PS4, similar to The Last of Us Remaster where they use the cinematic 3D assets for in-game models, 1080p and 60fps and improve the textures and I would be happy to support that.

And here we have the world's first inception.

This person believes FF7 remake announcement has actually leaked.

If FF7 is announced next week, I'll wear a dishonorable tag for a year of your choice.

I'm only interested in Bloodborne. GG's efforts since KZ2 have hastened the diminishing of my faith in them. I still wish one of Sony's first parties that is not GG would get into making RPGs.

It's all about the journey, not the destination, guys

So Journey will be there running at 60fps at 1080p resolution.

Eh, if anything it's good that Guerilla is branching out to other genres, maybe they'll find what they're really good at because they have talent.

This will end well...

Come on people, if they are working on FF VII remake (and I believe they are) it probably won't come out in the next 3 or 4 years, it's unlikely they will announce it this early. Keep calm.

If they are making remake, they should keep it in the same form as original - 3D characters that run across 2D environments [with 3D effect enhancements]. That approach will lower the cost of the game dramatically.

Anyhow, I am not expecting it anytime soon.

They are working with square already though with Life is Strange. Could they have already be planning for another game?
They just announced Life is Strange, do they really have the leeway to do 2 projects at once?
Hmm there doing two games?
The hiring is definitely for a different game. This and Matsuda saying the game they're announcing in Dec is an "RPG-Type" game makes me think this could very likely be it.

At the rate this thread is going, a lot of people are going to be sad pandas if FFVII and Shenmue 3 aren't announced at PSX for a release next fall just after Sony surprises everyone by making TLG available for download the day of the show.
I have absolutely no expectations beyond what's been announced. I'm hyped for the chance to see if ND have managed to make U4 look like the E3 trailer and if RaD can come good and give us an exciting showing of The Order. Beyond that, I'm excited to see more of No Man's Sky and anxious about Bloodborne (I'm on a blackout and hope I have the willpower to avoid footage).
The surprise announcements will be there, of course, but I won't get my hopes up as to what they are. There's a decent chance that they won't interest me, so I'd rather not speculate. I don't want my opinion of what is already an excellent show to be ruined by having expectations that may never be met.
This is the best thing of all this hype. If nothing of the megatons that we are speculating about turns out to be true, we still would have an excellent event with what is confirmed to be in the event.

TheWorthyEdge is assuring us of at least one announcement worthy of an 8 in the 1 to 10 hype scale. Everything else is just gravy to an already amazing sounding event.

I wouldn't think so, aren't they only alive because of Square?

Maybe they're co-developing with someone else, or maybe that's just hiring for future projects, I remember someone at Dontnod saying that Life is Strange shouldn't take much more to complete.

I doubt we'll see FF VII and I'm always right.
Still excited to see the show but as long as there will be at least 1 or 2 shocking or unexpected announcements (Capcom!!!!), we should be happy.

I'm excited as well man, but this FFVII stuff being there is just nonsense at this point. Gotta keep that hype in check to avoid disappointment. People get so hyped up then they complain when it doesn't live up to what they thought, what's worse is that they blame Sony or Microsoft or Nintendo when what they want wasn't announced because some insider said that something awesome would be there.

You're certainly not talking about me? I dont think anything leaked, I am just saying people that come into this thread unaware of what happened early will think that he is actually hinting at something.

Oh man. Even going by what is official, there is a whole lot of icing on that cake! :D

Yup, I'm personally very excited to see more of UC4, Bloodborne, and The Order, anything else will be extra special for me. Wish I had the money to go to this event, almost pulled it off by using my brothers miles, but he won't be around to take the trip with me so I gave up on the idea.

you're going to get a FFXIII-4 where time-fuckery happens and you get a Cloud sucked into the shitty, soul-sucking world of whatever putrid petri-dish it was cultivated from.

SE will be all "pls be excited" and we'll all feel like daft cunts for ever believing a FFVII remake was ever happening outside a slight cosmetic improvement for a 3DS port.

:(

But cloud was lightning all along

Please, please, please, insiders, do not spoil anything.

Drop hints or do whatever, but don't leak anything.

I'm really looking forward to PSX.

The one business problem I see with a Sony-funded FF7R is that the inevitable FF72 won't be exclusive (unless Sony funds that too). Unless FF72 comes way later then I don't think Sony would want game assets from a remake reused for a multiplatform sequel.

I honestly don't expect anyone from here to leak anything, but as for the rest of the internet I think it is inevitable. From what I gather from various posts, the information is out there and it's just a matter of time before it comes out, I truly hope it doesn't it will take away from next week and we're only 7 days away.

Someone with the hype bubble getting this big, I feel this is how it's going to end up

Also if it were a FF 13-4, at that point I'd rather nothing.

FF9 holds up better though. It's not legos moving around.

FF 9 sucks. There I said it. It's so slow compared to the others. Also materia > restricted skills through armor and weapons. FF7 forever!!!!
