Gematsu: Sony to hold Playstation Experience event in December

What the hell it's going on here, it's like everyone gone mad with hype.

And it looks like those with informations aren't helping either.

Wow, not until then? I find it really bizarre that Persona 5 was supposed to be out this year in Japan and we still don't have gameplay footage. I understand porting to PS4 takes time, but jeez.

Well, "Winter 2014"—to be fair—which could have meant up to March 2015. But yeah, delays happen and P5 was a casualty (along with Persona 4 Dancing). Atlus went through a lot recently, from Index imploding to the Sega acquisition.

I still expect to see some North American related P5 news at the event, however.

The Last Guardian Xbox One exclusive.
 
The fabled Sony event where they announce all the 1th party games that we know are coming plus they finally get serious with 3rd party deals has been hyped up for every event for the last 2 years.

It never happened. It will never happen.

As always I will go with 1 new SCE boxed game, a bunch of downloadables, And some small 3rd party stuff but nothing from the big boys and nothing ground shaking.



TLDR. Keep hype in check people.

Why do people always try to get rid of hype? It's always fun and if people meltdown afterwards it's entertaining as well.

Some GAFfers are expecting E3 level shit here, lol. I'll be surprised if they announce half as many things as they announce at E3s

I think what's happening is people are sharing the info through PM's right now, there are some posters on here that are very trustworthy and haven't done anything to show otherwise so that's what is getting me excited right now. Unless I am reading certain posts wrong.

Really? Damn... wish I could have that sense of hype. I honestly don't expect much of anything from either PSX or VGA's. Not in terms of the games I enjoy... Jump Festa I'm hoping to feel a little hyped though.

Can't say I've personally ever seen so many insiders and mods on NeoGAF act... like this.

But honestly you won't see me react negatively if all the dreams in the world don't come true. I just ... feel this hype so I'm letting it consume me.

They don't really use E3 to toss out almost all of their announcements for the 12 month cycle. IIRC, it's normally just a Naughty Dog gameplay and 1-2 mid-big surprises. They announce games throughout the year at almost every event.

The trick is to keep the hype as level as possible so you yourself won't get disappointed, that's what I am in the process of doing. I'd be excited and happy with what was already announced being there, but if there's more which it seems like there is, I will explode with joy. Either way I enjoy the heck out of these threads and it's something cool for all of us to do till next Saturday.
 
Also we should expect a Kingdom Hearts 3D remaster for PS4 to be announced right? I remember pre-E3 2013 someone said there would be an exclusive KH game for PS4 and 2.5HD releases in the west in December and also teases 3D in the credits.
 
I still don't understand the rationale in thinking that SFV could end up being PS Exclusive. It makes no sense, and under what logical circumstances would Sony even fund it, let alone Capcom agreeing to let them do so.

If Capcom is making anything exclusive it's either Dragon's Dogma 2 because Sony is footing the bill or, because Ono is visiting Sony HQ and working on a PS4 game, then a PS4 exclusive fighter that'll likely end up being a new IP.

I think it'll Playstation Experience will be a good event I just don't think it'll be the best in the world. I probably should have worded that better. I reserve those moments for E3 and TGS... that's all. Heck, even G Star now... Korea has a lot of promising games I'm looking forward to playing. Especially since they actually are making some of them appeal to a broad audience like Lost Ark and Tree of Savior.

- Microsoft counters with it's own blockbuster announcement - Kinectimals 2.

- Nintendo counters with it's own blockbuster announcement - Princess Peach Musuo game with the Kardashians.
