Unless I am reading certain posts wrong.

You are reading them just fine. :)

It sucks that we can't discuss them freely without sabotaging plans of those we want to support. For that reason, I'll refrain from teasing further. I can imagine how irritating it must be to not know. But with personal hype reaching critical levels, it's difficult not to drop a smiley or two at least. Hope there are no public leaks for the sake of the creators and the gamers who like surprises!

That's my last post on this particular topic, if not the thread. I'd really like a cryochamber right now.

Never forget.

yeah but what does that really mean
If I was trying to hide something, I would say the same thing.

Now of course we know now it was not true, but back then I still didn't believe it because, you would say anything to hide the truth, who wouldn't

not the same
Killer Instinct was and always will be b-tier fighter

No one grew up pumping quarters into Killer Instinct arcade machines, unless the SF2/Samarui Showdown/Fatal Fury/Tekken/MK machine lines were too long

Yea seems some don't realize how big a deal Street Fighter is.

I'm totally fine with that. But I'm not sure about the others. It might make people rage just like Rise of the Tomb Raider being X1 exclusive.

I really think this would be a much bigger deal than the Tomb Raider exclusivity deal. The rage online would be glorious.

You can't. Super Smash Bros is a nice contender though.... same as an MK 11 money-hat.

I agree.

I still don't understand the rationale in thinking that SFV could end up being PS Exclusive. It makes no sense, and under what logical circumstances would Sony even fund it, let alone Capcom agreeing to let them do so.

If Capcom is making anything exclusive it's either Dragon's Dogma 2 because Sony is footing the bill or, because Ono is visiting Sony HQ and working on a PS4 game, then a PS4 exclusive fighter that'll likely end up being a new IP.

First there was Hadoken Cabs ,then it came out that the same team that did SFIV is working on another fighting game. After that Trollish Ono starts living at Sony HQ. I was thinking Dragons Dogma II at first but the evidence is there.

It's to do with the dpad. Xbox has always had a wank dpad for fighters.
Why he'd rather have it on PS, or why he felt more comfortable w/ it on PS than any other platform?

I mean, he lists Sega there and Sega's dpads kick the utter shit out Sony's (and Microsoft's, and Nintendo's for that matter) for 2D fighting games. Well, the Saturn's dpad does anyway. This is just a known thing.

Way bigger...that keynote looks more like a concert of video games.

But I don't see anywhere SCE has announced the keynote...
Like the PlayStation Worldwide Studios community space and PlayStation Experience Collectable Cards, how could I collect all 54 cards in two days!?

Help me. I can't hold the hype :(

The wait is killing me.

This is like the E3 of Christmas, only bigger because we have all those awesome developer panels and the VGA's the night before!

Just one more week now.

preferred? or MS sponsored?

Preferred at least in the competitive scene. Most top level players play on 360....at least that's how it was when the game was at it's peak (2009 - 2012). I think it's because at the time it was cheap and most only bought one to play SFIV at home so it just naturally became the go to machine for Street Fighter.

Plus as someone who mainly played on PS3, I'm pretty sure there was minor input lag that the 360 version didn't have. A deal breaker for a game like this.

I don't think ND would come out and flat out lie.

You're jealous. Admit it!

Of course i am, i mean who wouldn't? :P

SFV won't be exclusive. It's pointless to even speculate on this. Being sourced as one of the important IPs for Capcom, references to SFV mentioned multiple platforms, and Sony would have to go out of their way to make this happen which isn't the kind of business decision PS3/PS4 era Sony would make.
And yet the 360 version is still the preferred console for competitive play and I don't think any previous Street Fighter game is synonymous with any Sony console.
The 360 version being the preferred version for SF4 and UMVC3 is due to Capcom's incompetence. They can't make both versions exactly the same while every other FG developer has no problem doing this.

I'm struggling with KI which is light execution in comparison because if that dpad ;_; I need to get my DS4 working on the Xbone ASAP. I don't want SFV to be exclusive though

I just ordered an adapter that will allow me to use my SFV fight stick (XB360) on my PS4 or XB1. It's $59:99 but I think that's a small price to pay to make my fightstick work on everything.

Ok? The point is Street Fighter doesn't exactly scream Sony exclusivity.

It was the best version on competitive play because the PS3 versions of Capcom fighters had input lag

It still sold more on PS3, I believe. But yeah, SF isn't a "Sony franchise"
