Yes it has been verified that the VO is Andy SerkisSeriously? Do we have any idea of his role in this / future Star Wars films? Is he a Sith? Is he some sort of creature? A mystery?

Agree 100%. I haven't been excited about Star Wars in decades. This teaser changed everything for me.
Let's be honest: this is the most ridiculous shot no one is talking about. Yeah it looks cool, but there is no need to fly so low to the ground and put a fleet of ships at risk.
Now keep in mind I'm a fan of Star Wars but not super hardcore into the lore. It is my understanding however that there is always at least 2 Sith correct? A master and an apprentice. So even if Adam Driver is the "main" Sith wouldn't there have to be another? Possibly Serkis character?
People misunderstand this all the time. The Rule of Two established by Darth Bane is the system where there is always only a master and an apprentice, because the infighting will always occur if there are more than that until they basically get reduced to two anyway. That doesn't mean that there's some universal/force law that makes sure that there are always two living Sith in existence, the doctrine just has to have no more or no less for the system to work.
Once Palpatine died, it's very possible that the Sith died with him, and that whoever the dude in the trailer is, is the only "Sith" in existence until he finds an apprentice.
It's equally possible he's the apprentice of a Master who has not been revealed.
Not harping on you about this, people just sometimes treat the Rule of Two as some sort of universal truth, when it's just a system of rule that goes away if all the sith are dead, or if someone chooses to do something different.
Hyped as fuck for the movie, btw.

There's something off about it. The energy emitted doesn't look like it normally does.
I dont think the Rule of Two will necessarily apply in the new trilogy, especially if the Sith is just being "reborn" after ROTJ. The new Sith may not adhere to the old traditions. Now keep in mind I'm a fan of Star Wars but not super hardcore into the lore. Risk of what? The PT has established that amphibious ships exist.

Are we still allowed to use "retarded" as a descriptor for things that we don't like?
I think the theme of the whole teaser was to show off easy and effective practical effect shots and prove to the audience that this isn't Lucas' green screen - trade dispute - lovestory bullshit.

Is soccer ball droid is rolling past some pod racing engines? Please no references to Ep 1 :-(

Wouldn't it though? The fact that the Sith have been down for so long that, whether already having been Sith or turned to see it rise again, they are so disorganized that they have to make their own makeshift equipment. I just like the theory of this being an inexperienced Sith and I think the effect could reflect that. That would be cool. The effect is sweet

Yup, entirely possible. It's also possible that the new Sith don't adhere to the old Sith traditions andDriver is the only one or there's more than two. I hope it's the latter, I want a big battle with multiple Jedi vs multiple Sith at some point in the next three movies. So basically its entirely possible though that Serkis is perhaps the new Sith Lord and that Adam Driver is his apprentice? Enough time has passed since episode 6 that a new Sith could have appeared (Serkis) and that he is trying to expand their power and is training an apprentice (Driver)
Fuck my X-wing being amphibious.Risk of what? The PT has established that amphibious ships exist.

But that scene looked like it was 100% digital. I'd love to be wrong, but it just looked too damn "busy" for practical effects.
Is that an Imperial probe droid you hear when Boyega's character shows up?
The prequels are canon get over it.

Someone needs to make a compilation reaction video of these, really great stuff.Haha, this guy's reaction and excitement is so infectious. Love it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFKDbIyqOjg#t=66
Why would darth Gollum mention the light is rising as well, and he said it so menacing like as if that is dangerous. Something different is going to happen with the force in this one, could be interesting.
Made gifs for the other two scenes.

edit: post above me haha.
The second tie fighter is shooting at the first one not at the falcon.
Wow, its has not been a whole day and George Lucas has already made some changes to the Teaser...

Meh. Whoever made this was trying too hard. There's comedy to be found in that trailer, but this didn't find it.
