All he needs to do is punch Barry when he's not looking. That's all. And let's be realistic, if Oliver wins it won't be in straight fight, he will either trick Flash or exploit some of his weaknesses (hubris propably judging from what we know will happen

Was it ever explained consistently how Barry percieves his speed in comics? Does the whole world slows down for him, while he moves normal? Does he percieve his own movements in slow motions? One way or another, this power actually must suck for everyday life. I mean...sure, you can run from Central City to Starling in like half an hour, but you still will percieve it like you would be marathoning for 2 days.

In tv show it seems Barry, while fully powerd up, registers his moves as normal speed. So while the blade is silly, the "use stick to make Flash trip" would actually work if he set it up right against the corner. He would trip just like every other fast running human would

I always thought that Flash also thinks faster, so that the whole world is incredible sluggish and boring. But some comics suggest otherwise (or even the fact that he stays sane). I like this song very much.

In the New 52 he pretty much can predict how people are going to react or how things will play out, and then alter them.

Well, some methods were pretty questionable. I get, that the heroes were pretty upset at the moment and not at their best, but this was pretty poor.

I don't like many things about the New 52. I also don't like that the Rogues go inherit powers, instead of the weapons, as if the universe didn't have enough meta humans.

Cold got his powers removed and we haven't see The Rogues much since Forever Evil, so my best guess is said powers will be quietly forgotten.

Doesn't change that I didn't like it much. I mean, I am not a regular Flash reader, but I have read Rogues Rebellion.
 
People who hate that sequence seem to misunderstand Slade's power-set in comics (which admittedly used to be downplayed a lot).

He's super-strong and has reflexes that are essentially super-speed level, and a super-tactical brain.

He's like Captain America or a weaker Spider-Man, but evil.

He can think faster, but he can also operate at normal speeds. He has to, to converse normally.

Quicksilver is the one who's always at high-speed perception-wise.

That whole fight was stupid. Slade taking down the entire League? Word? Been getting washed by the Titans for 20 years but suddenly taking down Green Lantern, Flash, Plastic Man, and whoever else solo.

Identity Crisis was fucking dumb.

I thought he just had a low grade healing factor so he doesn't get tired and has tons of experience because he's lived a long time and is really hard to kill.

So Batman with a slow healing factor.

He's healing power is more like Wolverine's one from like a decade or two ago. Like you can cut off his arm and reattatch it. And he has superstrenght/enchances reflexes. So it's Batman, with Captain America's body and Wolverine's healing. Still nowhere near enough to take down JLA in a way he did.

Cap just has peak human strength. That's not super human.

Even 616 does things no human could. Including bench pressing 1200 lbs. Plus even if we would lower his abilities to world records, doing world records at everything still would count as superhuman.

His muscles don't fatigue so he can get away with stuff a regular peak human couldn't. Still don't think that puts him at a super-strength level.

For example, Spidey has low grade super strength. The stuff he can do vastly outstrips Cap.

Muscle regeneration doesn't help you lift more. He superstrong. That's the low level of superstrenght..lifting more than humanly possible, especially considering his thin frame. Those muscles could never support those weights. No matter if they fatigue or not.
And Spidey isn't low level strong,. Vampires in popular fiction have superstrenght. Spidey is waaay past that.
 
Don't character power levels vary wildly between different issues/scenes/panels? I know DBZ scouter what-ifs are a comic discussion staple but isn't it up to the discretion of individual writers how powerful a certain character's abilities are?
 
I don't have a problem with barry/flash, even with training, still relying on his speed too much that people with tactics based training still able trip/mess him up with a little planning. Like a slightly bore grounded version of Batman always besting superman because of *prep time/planning/general great tactician*

Not to mention the conditions that set up the fight seem like they would put a handicap on Barry's intelligence and focus.

There's a few different incarnations of Killer Frost though. I don't see them immediately going down that route for Caitlin Snow, as a TV show the character both fills the expositionary niche to explain the villain of weeks powers etc and the also the evolution of the Flash's powers. They can replace the expositionary part of the character, but it would be a bold move at the minute the series hasn't really set the sort of tone for that kind of friend turned foe angst.It's still a bit Saturday morning if you know what I mean. And frankly it's the CW you can't have a love triangle without other lady

He didn't take them down, in fact he loses the fight. Read the sequence again. All he manages to do is hurt them and stall them.

He also generally beat the Titans, not get beat by them.


Edit : as far as super strength, sometimes Cap has it and sometimes he doesn't. Deathstroke certainly does though. In his first appearance he kicks down a 2 inch thick metal door in stride, and leaps several stories.

On TV? No Superman TAS' World's Finest
And several Marvel animated ones in the 90s.

If you mean heroes on a show, Smallville had a few members and an informal "Justice League"

If you mean from two different shows, then yes.

I think The Six Million Dollar Man / Bionic Woman counts as one of the earlier ones. Both are essentially superheroes and had their own shows.

There's already the Flash-Iris-Eddie triangle, so there's no need for Caitlin to get involved in that. More so given that Firestorm is coming.
 
If Caitlin becomes Killer Frost, I bet that Captain Cold has an accidental hand in it.

She'll be lost and anti-heroic for a while but then Firestorm will save her. And they'll be together forever.

What about Cisco being at fault. He build the cold gun after all, maybe he once again tries to work on that project or Cold forces him to, because his gun is broken or not enough and then somehow Caitlin gets involved and transformed. Just imagine Cold wanting real super powers and tries to replicate the experiment with Cisco and Wells kicks Caitlin in to protect Barry from a possible super powered Captain Cold.

I could see Caitlin becoming Killer Frost for one episode, then getting the powers removed. Later in the series, the Louise Lincoln Killer Frost shows up and takes on the name.
 
Predictions:

Caitlin will become Killer Frost, but she'll be a hero.
Eddie will become Reverse Flash, but it'll be fate/against his will
Cisco will power himself up via tech/guns and become Vibe
Ray Palmer will show up as The Atom.

These are not so much predictions as stuff everyone's already said.
