holy shit so they team up to
fight against captain cold and heatwave?
Hype levels uncontrollable now.

edit: nevermind it's some other video I watched. apparently a season promo for flash.

ok nickname thing was hilarious, but how did they really address the power gap? they say that it exists, sure, but not how it's overcome. I guess that's why we have to watch the episode... (thinking as i type) i'm a dummy.
The very fact that they spoke of it means that they will talk about it within the episodes and give us hopefully enough reasons to believe that raw power isn't everything.

they have to

even TV Flash should stomp the shit out of Ollie if they ever got into a fight
Well, there was always the chance that they worf Barry.

Guys Barry has no training, poor reactions and lacks any sort of fighting instinct. If he's not out to kill Oliver in one punch he's going to get flustered. All his enemies except for Captain Cold have just been as dumb as him.

Also I didn't realize
the Rogues are in the episode but I'm damn happy they are.

I'm confused, I don't want to get my hopes up for
the rogues

that's the video I watched.

seems like it's unrelated to the crossover.

They've been saying its a crossover for weeks
Crossover and 2-parter are different :P

I guess

When I hear crossovers, I don't know expected an event that would carry over between the two shows!

But guess makes sense so people who don't watch either or during rewatches won't feel too left out

That was a promo for the crossover.

THE ROGUES, BABY!!!!

Barry, I've been living this life for almost eights years, encountering things you can't even fathom.... WAT

Oliver: Barry, when I was on the Island I hit an anomaly that transported me through time and space.
Barry: Where did it take you?
Oliver: To Central City, 30 year ago, into your mother's arms.
Barry: Whaaa-
Oliver: Im your father, Barry.
Diggle: Maaaan FUCK YOU OLLI.

Arrow: We can talk about giving your enemies silly code-names later

Flash: You mean over coffee with Deathstroke and Huntress.

Love the dialogue in that teaser.

He should, in a straight fight. But TV Flash can be easily taken out by somebody like Oliver with a little bit of thinking and preparation. Heck, just hit the ground with flashbang and Barry is done.

Realistically taking out Barry should be a lot easier than doing the same with Deathstroke on mirakuru.

I just realized Injustice hits PS+ the same day as Flash vs. Arrow.

DC you on a roll. Absolutely going to recreate some shit in-game after the episode.

New episode today:
Season 1: episode 8 "Flash vs. Arrow"

A crossover event that concludes on "Arrow" begins with Barry teaming with Oliver Queen to stop a meta-human who is using his ability to control people's emotions to rob banks. Meanwhile, Eddie tries to get a task force to stop the Flash; and Caitlin and Cisco deal with a new team in S.T.A.R. Labs.

I don't want to have to start watching a different show just to see the end of the storyline =/

You don't. Not the way those episodes are structured.
The Flash story will wrap up in this episode and Flash will then travel tomorrow to Starling for a new story. There will be ties between then, but each will still be pretty standalone.

The way crossover comics should work.

5 years on the island, and Hong Kong + 3 years in Starling city.

Awwwww :(
I thought it was a 2 part episode.

But that's the same video that was linked before, from Amell's Facebook, and then with the direct MP4 isn't it?

That's new footage of
Captain Cold and Heatwave and Barry's talking to Oliver about them, so I don't see how it isn't in the crossover.

That was a promo for the crossover.

No.. its a 2 part story. It will conclude it on Arrow so if you watch one you are either watching the start or the end. As they both crossover from the start.

But Barry would see the flash bang before it detonates.

The only way he could realistically lose if he was neutered in some way or he was up against someone of equal powers and abilities (reverse flash).

.

Not really. Not if it doesn't look like a flashbang. It can be a flash bang arrow and He will just catch/dodge it. Barry doesn't have superhuman senses. You can easily get a drop on him just like on every other human being. You could easily detonate even a regular flashback behind his back assuming the setting is loud/distracting enough for him not to notice. Heck, you could even just detonate a sonic device the kind of Canary used. Damage his labyrinth and he's done. All he could do is make a suicide attempt at running, straight into the wall.

This isn't the ridiculous God-level Flash from comics. He's just a guy who's fast when he wants to. Suprise him and he's done.

Doesn;t seem that way. Flash will have it's own villain and Arrow episode will too. There will of course be plot threads connecting both, but the main arcs of both episodes seem to be separate

And people want em to connect to the movies...

Imagine if they would connect them all.. 20 movies and likely 8-10 shows, that's like 750 hours of content in 5 years. It would be hilarious to try DC convince anyone to follow all of that, let alone attempt to synchronize all the plot threads.

I want an Amell cameo in Justice League, but at this point I'm very happy they aren't beholden to the movies. We need Arrowverse Flashpoint damnit. The bossest crossover ever.

It does seem this crossover is just using Captain Boomerang as a loose connecting string between the two episodes. They're testing the waters and I'm sure they don't want to overly confuse the Flash audience. They just want to give them an excuse to taste Arrow.

I love Amell, but the Movieverse is in dire need of a Green Arrow similar to the one in JLU

He'd have to stop and give you the opportunity to do it. Because if he was moving at speed then his opponent wouldn't have a chance.

Also, after this last episode he no longer has to think about using his powers which means his reflexes are substantially faster.

He doesn't automatically use his top speed though. And at his lower speed, multiple villains have already been able to hit him, even if they have to lead the shot. He's far from untouchable.

He's not quicksilver. Barry operates in human speed by defaut. He needs to go into superspeed mode. And yes he's gotten fast, but he's not the ridiculous fast Barry from comics, when between a bullet touching his skin and it penetrating it he would be able to dodge. He will always regularly jump out of the superspeed in the field and give his enemies the opportunity to attack him.

I think being faster than a lighting bolt is pretty ridiculous already, especially given that Olli, and almost everyone else is just a human. No mutation, no drugs, no alien, no shinigami, hell, he is most likely not even on the top of human strength and ability.

Sure he will grow even more, but in relativity to the world we know so far, he is almost without match.

The secrets tease has me hyped as balls

To be fair to Ollie he did take on Slade who has super fucking strength and shit. Also has held his own against members of the League, so it's not like he doesn't know what he's doing. He stands the best chance out of anyone else right now (not counting the swag masters and Ra's obviously)
