Arn Anderson looks like a bad ass. Dude looked like he was made of steel. And he most certainly did not look like this

Lol. Arn Anderson was jiggly as fuck, because he was a man who knew who to enjoy a case of beer and BBQ and would break your neck if you tried to take any of it from him. Definitely didn't look like steel at any point in his career.

Put Punk, Arn, Wyatt, Harper in a line up. Who is the guy you'd have the biggest chance of winning a fight with?

I think size is also just mass though. Vince has had a hard-on for Big Show and Mark Henry for years and they aren't cut up and ripped, but they are huge. I think Bray and guys like Harper fall into that camp. Vince likes the side-show look at much as he likes the bodybuilder looks.

Vince is also the guy that reportedly got Andre the Giant to wrestle, so there's that.

What it comes down to is Vince would rather put over the guy that looks like Billy Graham than the guy that looks like a punk rocker. He thinks that is what will appeal well to multiple demos, not the guy that looks like Punk.

Even watching Punk's bio, I was shocked to see how much crossover there was between punk and wrestling.

The one that is the least knowledgeable about fighting, which you probably wouldn't know until it's too late.

Nah, he had put on weight towards the end and it was noticeable on a guy his size. (I also thought that "Michelin Man Daniel Bryan" looked way worse than "Regular Athletic Guy DB"

His gimmick is that of a dirty hillbilly. He does it well. He can go in the ring, is surprisingly agile, and he's a believable threat visually.

what punk said about sponsors and wrestlers really drives home how archaic Vince's thinking is for the WWE. hate or love punk, but he was a breath of fresh air when he wrestled in the WWE and the WWE lost major talent letting him go.

and the Ryback stories punk kept telling are believable to me, dude looks like he'd be a roided out asshole and fuckhead in the ring.

Height factors in to it too. Bryan is a midget. Also a terrible promo

He's been employed how many years and he still can't not smirk when cutting a promo

That's his character in the WWE. When they let him be more serious he can cut a good promo. In the lead up against Cena at SS the WWE let him loose a little from his smiling idiot baby face gimmick and he was good. The problem is that WWE doesn't want him out wrestling guys so they make be the character he currently is.

Fat Hero really annoys me. Could've made a good fist at a WWE career if he'd made the effort. Although that's probably not the most desirable of paths right now.

Chris Hero has to either be crazy or have some sort of medical problem to get that fat that fast. He was stationary in NXT he should have been able to control his diet and workout. To work that much for that long just to give up is crazy

Hardy can be excused I think. Had a genuine medical problem.

HHH was always the best though. Came back from his first knee op absolutely shredded and then over the course of the next few years just bloated out. Looked comical around 03/04.

'The look' doesn't mean ripped bodybuilder massive monster, and it never has. Otherwise, Warlord would have been world champion.

I'm a fan of the WWE, and the draw for me has always been match quality rather than the size of the guys in the ring. I don't understand why the overall focus of the company can't be on that: the quality of the match, hence the entertainment value of the product. Writing helps too.

And marketing's a shitty excuse. The stacked-ness of the main man really shouldn't matter, unless the boss has a hard-on for bodybuil...

Oh. I see.

Anyone who agrees with Vince is a huge part of the problem.

He has mental and emotional problems. It's sad. Guy could be a star. Soon though he will be the fat guy in the swimming pool wearing a shirt.

You should listen to his commentary he is quite good at talking in general https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Duzwm9GWSN8

Holy shit!

I'm dead serious when I say that he was actually very VERY good! My god he is hilarious and very articulate. And unlike the other knuckleheads currently on commentary, he actually knows his stuff and knows how to call.

Man that was great. XD if anything, I wished CM Punk came back as a commentator. Get rid of Jerry too. It would be great!

Yeah, was hoping that's what he'd do when he retired. Wouldn't happen though, Vince/HHH would be in his ear constantly and ask Foley how that worked out.
