The Special Editions really did "re-write" the past a bit, a la 1984.I thought his first appearance was in the first movie.

Don't make me stab you TheOddOne.
I think that's part of the reedits by Lucas.

In the bit with the Sith dude, where was his sabre before he drew it? I watched it a few times and I figure if it was strapped to his belt it would have been visible at some point before he drew it. It looks like it just appears as he starts to reach for it, like it falls out of his upper arm.
I know, I was jokingNot an original scene. It was added to the 1997 Special Edition.

Getting Star Trek 2009 feels remake, not bad but caters to the brave new world of teens![]()
No idea but I think he basically did the same move Palpatine did in ROTS when Windu and Generic Jedi Masters #1, 2 and 3 confronted him.

This script balances the humor with honest, direct writing that gives Jar Jar (dare I say?) a soul. He may be a sidekick, but here's betting that Jar Jar Binks becomes one of the biggest EPISODE I stars once audiences get their real introduction.

It's still a great teaser, even if the movie turned out to be terrible.
For the record, that is Andy Serkis you hear in the trailer. I was able to verify this, although I was not able to uncover any further information about the role he plays. Here's what I do know, though. He's playing a pivotal role in the film, although he will not have a lot of screen time.

I'll admit I have no idea what that means. What should it cater to?
Same way George Lucas seemed to cater to kids for the preqeuels this one seems to be going for that same younger audience that Star Trek seemed to latch on, its got a boy band feel to it, thats best way i can explain it.
To be fair, I think Star Wars had an appeal for that crowd already. Star Trek was slightly problematic (at least for fans of the original show) because it was a more cerebral show turned into a summer-blockbuster action movie. I don't think Star Wars suffers from that potential switch because it was always more of a fun action movie that appealed to the young.Same way George Lucas seemed to cater to kids for the preqeuels this one seems to be going for that same younger audience that Star Trek seemed to latch on, its got a boy band feel to it, thats best way i can explain it.

agreed 100%The prequels and originals catered to the same audience: to anyone willing and eager to go along for the ride. That will remain true for these. I think the modern and energetic style of Abrams is making you think that but the originals were made with very rough technology. That was a time period thing just as this will be. It sounds like you think this should be as archaic.
Shit got better, bro.

Um what? He got swallowed by a monster. I'm guessing you read Tales from Jabbas Palace. The idea of him escaping is beyond stupid. How can you say that for sure? His supposed "death" in ROTJ wasn't on screen and blatant. If they choose to bring him back, they will.

I hope the film has a big sense of humor, like Guardians of the Galaxy. They can keep the darker, gloomy feel for this trilogy's ESB.

It should have humor but not that far. I loved GoTG but I hope it stays to the level of A New Hope.I hope the film has a big sense of humor, like Guardians of the Galaxy. They can keep the darker, gloomy feel for this trilogy's ESB.
The idea that the prequels were supposed to "cater to kids" is utter crap when you take into account the amount of political BS in them and stuff that generally doesn't make sense.
While I enjoy JJ, I would kill to have Edgar Wright direct a Star Wars movie.

Setting the bar that high, are we?Just please be better than Attack of the Clones. Please.
