.@Misongie initial scope of new game somewhere around size of Mario Kart 7 or last Mortal Kombat or original ICO. Not a super tight indie &

Not an epic AAAexperience (altho doing both in this new universe if it catches on one day is the hope)- way meatier than CALLING ALL CARS

Happy to hear this- I've been looking forward to whatever Jaffe's been cooking for awhile, and I love the idea of more midsized games making a come back.

So, it's a driving game, huh?

His teasers implied something different.

Ah well, add more coal to the engines.

This is a weird conclusion to draw from this.

Answer me this. It's time for ME to ask questions around here. What do you want from this event? What will make you not disappointed?

I think people would like a continuation of the shots fired at E3 2013 in the form of exclusive game announcements. 7 Remake is such a shot. So is Crash and Shenmue. It would be entertaining for sure and jaw dropping.

Personally, I'd like to see Square come out and say "XV is Sony's game, it's just coming to Xbone too because bills ain't cheap." It would put more solidification on the strength of Sony's relationship with Square. Kinda like what Capcom did with Resident Evil on Saturn.

This isn't referring to the megaton that's been teased, right?

Yeah, no.

Not a good idea.

I want FFVII Remake.

More realistically though:
Crash Bandicoot IP back at Sony, a reboot of something like Syphon Filter. And a new trailer for The Last Guardian.

Square-Enix doesn't have a relationship with Sony anymore. They have a relationship with money.

If want to be surprised. Even after reading the whole entirety of this thread. Which could be difficult, as it seems like potential remastered editions / successors of every major game of the last three decades were already discussed.

Especially FF VII, TLG and the second coming of Crash were mentioned so often that, may be, I'd be disappointed if not at least one of those three will be announced. That's kind of sad, because a couple of days ago, I didn't even know about this event....

Soooo...
It's a giant small project with cars, monsters in karts, dudes with masks that kill each other brutally and top down.

Did I get that correct?

YO!

They did not let him to create sequel to GoW that was set in the modern world, or to bring in other gods.

His GOW 2-3 concept was great. Zeus would be the first boss, who would immediatly be killed. The rest of the series is gods from different cultures in a power struggle trying to fill the void left behind from the Greek gods.
